Hi, I’m Eloise and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Eloise Location: Oswego, Il Date of Birth: 02/21/2018 Gender: Female Breed: Cane Corso Color: Blue Brindle Dog's Weight: 100 Gets along with: Dogs?: Yes, large and medium only.  NO SMALL DOGS! Cats?: No Kids?: Yes Training: Leash Trained - walks loose leash Crate Trained - goes to crate/kennel on command Potty Trained - indicates need to potty and doesn't have indoor accidents Car - Rides well in the car Meet Eloise Miss Eloise may be a golden girl, but don’t let that fool you—she has plenty of personality! As she has decompressed and settled into her foster home, her spunky and lovable side has really started to shine. While she may be a little slow to get moving at times, Eloise knows exactly what she wants… and she isn’t shy about letting you know! Eloise believes she deserves the royal treatment and will happily remind you when it’s time for attention. If you sit down, she takes that as her official invitation for ear scratches and affection. In fact, if you’re holding something in your hands, she may gently nudge it out of the way so you can focus on the important task at hand—loving her. Her sweet, demanding charm makes her impossible not to adore. She absolutely loves being outside and enjoys leisurely strolls where she can take in the sights and smells at her own pace. Eloise is happiest when she can relax near her people, soak up affection, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Thanks to her gentle nature and easygoing personality, Eloise would make a wonderful companion for a first-time giant breed owner. She would do well in many types of homes, including families with children or adults of any age who are looking for a loving and loyal companion. If you’re searching for a sweet, slightly sassy queen who will keep you smiling and ensure you never forget to give enough ear scratches, Eloise is ready to claim her throne in your heart and home. Story
Hi, I’m Big Momma and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Big Momma Location: Portland, MI Date of Birth: 1/10/2021 Gender: Female Breed: Cane Corso Color: Black Dog's Weight: 135 Gets along with: Dogs?: Alll dogs Cats?:  Yes Kids?: Yes Training: Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty  Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Big Momma Big Momma is a 135-pound Cane Corso with a soft heart, a stubborn streak, and absolutely no concept of personal space — especially if you stop petting her before she thinks you should. This girl lives for attention and has perfected the famous “heavy paw” Corso move to politely-but-not-really-politely demand more scratches. At around 8 years old, Big Momma has settled beautifully into foster life in Portland, Michigan and is ready for a home that appreciates a slower pace, cozy naps, and leisurely sniff-filled walks. She’s not in a hurry about much these days unless it involves food, meeting people she loves, or finding the comfiest couch in the house. Big Momma is wonderful with kids, enjoys other dogs, and has done well with dog-savvy cats. She especially loves calm companions and tends to ignore dogs that are a little too energetic for her taste. She rides nicely in the car, enjoys tagging along on outings, and has been friendly even during vet visits. Her foster family wants adopters to know one important thing honestly: Big Momma will eat just about anything if given the opportunity. After needing major surgery for swallowing landscape fabric in the past, she will need a home committed to keeping fabric items like socks, bedding, and soft items safely out of reach. Because of this, she should be crated when unattended. Despite her size and occasional stubborn Corso opinions, Big Momma is an easy girl to love. She wants to make her people happy, enjoys being included in everyday life, and would do just fine with a first-time giant breed owner willing to set gentle boundaries and keep tempting snacks (including socks!) picked up. Big Momma isn’t looking for a perfect home — just a safe couch, loving people, and someone who understands that the best companions often come with a little extra personality. Hi, I’m Kane and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Kane Location: Chicago, IL Date of Birth: 6/04/2024 Gender: Male  Breed: Cane Corso Color: Tan Dog's Weight: 110 Gets along with: Dogs?: All dogs Cats?:  Unknown Kids?: Unknown Meet Kane Kane — a big, handsome Cane Corso with a playful spirit, a loyal heart, and all the potential to become an incredible companion. At 110 pounds, Kane is every bit the powerful guardian breed he was born to be. He's still learning the ropes of home life, but one thing is already clear—he absolutely loves people. Everyone he's met has been greeted with a wagging tail and a friendly attitude, proving that beneath his impressive size is a sweet, affectionate dog who enjoys making new friends. Kane has a playful personality and is happiest when he has toys, balls, or something fun to chase. He loves spending time outdoors and proudly takes his self-appointed role as neighborhood watch. When people or cars pass by the yard, Kane makes sure everyone knows he's on duty with a few enthusiastic barks. Once visitors come inside, though, he's all about saying hello and soaking up attention. Kane already knows "sit" and "come" and is making great progress learning his manners. He's responding more consistently to his name, enjoys working for treats, and is beginning to understand how rewarding training can be. He's still working on potty training and leash skills, but he's improving every day with consistency and positive reinforcement. As a young, powerful dog, Kane is incredibly strong and will need an adopter committed to continuing his training. Around other dogs, Kane has done well passing them during outings, though he can become a little dominant or territorial if he becomes overstimulated. Slow, thoughtful introductions and continued guidance will help him be successful. His compatibility with cats and children is still unknown. While Kane has been wonderfully sweet with every person he's met, his excitement and strength can sometimes become overwhelming, so he'll need someone who can confidently redirect him and continue teaching him polite greetings. Kane's ideal family is one that understands large guardian breeds or is committed to learning about them. He'll thrive with structure, consistency, regular exercise, and someone who appreciates both his playful side and his natural protective instincts. With the right leadership, Kane has all the ingredients to become an exceptional companion. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will happily play fetch one minute, keep watch over the yard the next, and then lean in for affection when the day is done, Kane may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Hi, I'm new to rescue. Please check back to learn more about me once I settle into my foster home. Name: Buck Breed: Newfoundland/Cane Corso Mix Age: 1 year Pet Location: Bourbonnais, IL From the foster home: Buck is a happy, easygoing young giant who has quickly won everyone over in his foster home. He loves kids, enjoys playing fetch, and is always ready for an adventure. Buck rides great in the car, walks beautifully on a leash, and settles nicely in his crate. He appears to be dog, cat, and kid friendly, and his friendly personality makes him a joy to be around. Buck is still settling in, but so far he has shown himself to be a well-mannered, affectionate boy who would fit into many different types of homes. Buck is currently on medical hold while he completes his vetting, with his neuter scheduled for later this month.
