Story
Hi, I’m Tank and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name:Tank Location: Carlock, Il Date of Birth: 11/1/2021 Gender: Male Breed: Can Corso Color: Fawn Dog's Weight: 100 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?:  All Cats  Kids?: All kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Tank — A Survivor With a Gentle Heart At one time, Tank had a family, a dog friend to play with, and children who loved him. But one day, they discarded him in a field like he meant nothing. No food, no water, no shelter. Just Tank… alone, confused, and waiting for a family that was never coming back. Tank survived on the run for weeks, terrified and starving before help finally reached him. Tank is a gentle soul learning to trust again as he decompresses and discovers what it means to feel safe. Though he’s older, he acts younger than his age and still has plenty of playful, puppy-like energy. This sweet boy is a true Velcro dog—he wants to be wherever his people are, especially the kids. Children bring out his happiest, most confident self. Tank knows his name, sit, and inside, and he's working hard every day to show just how smart and eager to please he is. He can be a little skittish when meeting new people, but he has a fantastic judge of character and warms up quickly once he senses kindness. Once he trusts you, he’s your loyal companion through and through. Tank’s perfect match is a family with children—they’re his favorite humans, and he thrives in a home where he can soak up their affection. He gets along well with dogs and cats, and he would truly benefit from having another dog in the home to play with and help him burn off energy. A fenced yard would be wonderful for Tank so he can run, explore, and play safely, but it isn’t a requirement for the right adopter. He may not be the best fit for a first-time giant breed owner, only because he needs someone patient and willing to continue building his confidence—but an adopter familiar with gentle, positive reinforcement will help him blossom beautifully. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. Story
Meet Gator! The biggest (and softest) weenie of them all. This GORGEOUS dude came from a hoarding case and has not had the easiest start. Despite his rough start and living with 23 other Corso's, this guy is a gem. Gator is dog friendly, sweet, kennel trained, willing, and very eager to please. His body moves around like a fish out of water and his only goal in life is to be loved on and maybe secure a spot on your couch. If you want an absolute show stopper of a dog with meatballs as brains, this is your dude!

Story
If you like them B I G and docile, this is the gal for you. This sweet princess came in needing a second chance after she ended up with our shelter partner. Her and a few of her friends were removed from a property in need of a second chance. Shyly is big and sweet. She is shy until she knows you, but never offers any concerning behavior. She walks well on the leash, is comfortable in a kennel, and is just a big baby. She is fine with dogs that are not overly excited and jumping on her. She will coexist with a lower energy dog perfectly. Due to her size she would do best in a home with kids over 10. This girl is about 3 and still has so much life to live. If you want a friend to help you get outside this summer, she would love a family to head out and adventure with. Come meet his sweet girl.

Story
Sam is a young adult with a heart full of love—he just takes a little time to show it. Found as a stray, Sam is still learning what it means to be a dog and would love a patient, kind person to help him discover how wonderful life can be. He may be cautious at first, but once he feels safe and trusts you, he transforms into the most loyal, playful, and affectionate friend you could ask for. He loves to play, enjoys cuddle time, and is eager to form a deep bond with someone special. Sam would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who can offer patience and encouragement as he continues to build confidence. He loves other dogs and needs a home with a canine sibling! If you’re ready to guide him on his journey and gain a devoted best friend in return, Sam is waiting to meet you! **We did a DNA test on Sam and he is a mix of Neapolitan Mastiff, Belgian Malinois, Cane Corso, Rottweiler, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier... what a handsome mutt!

*UTD/MICROCHIPPED/ ON MONTHLY FLEA AND TICK AND HEARTWORM PILL/SPAYED *good with cats *no kids under 12 ( she is very fast when she runs) *non- reactive dogs are best to pair her with *loves chew toys and tennis balls!! On Feb 08, 2024, Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control officer, reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! We have dog tested Beauty at our dog trainers place in Athens, TN and found out that she is good with non-reactive dogs ( we have been pairing her up with non- reactive dogs at our rescue for play) .She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy, young kids could unknowingly get in her way. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout! Her most favorite toy is a tennis ball! if you have two, that would be great or else you WILL go through ALOT of them because she will chew them up right away! We are teaching her to bring it and leave it and wait for us to toss her second ball. sometimes, we will work with her on just one ball....but that is a lot more work vs having a second one ready haha! We do believe she is house broken as she has not made any messes in our home or the dog building. **We do offer foster to adopt to do a trail run** ( PLEASE ASK US FOR MORE INFORMATION AS WE TAILOR TO YOUR NEEDS/ REQUESTS AS NEEDED, THE BEST WE CAN) If you have any questions, please feel free to get ahold of us through here, or through our website at www.woofwooffosters.org . Thank you, woofwoof fosters -team This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
