I am gentle, playful, and would LOVE a home with another pet playmate, and kids over 6 years old (I tend to run around playfully and could knock younger kids over).   I love going for walks and do really well on a leash until I see a butterfly.  Then...I want to play with them. Butterflies are the best.  I go potty outside but I don't like to get my feet wet on the grass unless I have to.  Basic commands are easy for me.  I know Sit, No, Off and will do anything for a good non-rawhide chew.  My favorite is belly rubs and I LOVE to sleep on my back.    My foster mom says I have a beautiful smile and soulful eyes.  She's so sweet.   I like to eat my treats and meals in peace as I have had to share with my puppies for months.     When my foster mom does laundry I like to help take all the towels out of the basket and chew on them.  I enjoy stealing socks and shredding them, but I am gentle with toys.  I am a champion of finding the squeaker in any toy and remove it after I get all the stuffing out. I'm sure I'll get a prize for that someday, right?     I am ready to learn to sleep in your lap, and play with you and your family.  Are you ready for me??  I think we could be great together!    Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy:Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include, but are not limited to: pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Our rescue policy requires the following: Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina. We will not adopt a giant breed dog to homes where the dog will have access to highly varnished hardwood steps inside the home. Any inside steps to which the dog(s) have access, must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit. Methods or devices using pain or force on the dog to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior is prohibited. Applications for giant breed dogs must be submitted by the property owner. Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Veterinary records will be checked. All references must be checked before any visitation of the dog is permitted at the foster home. All family members must be present during the home visit to the applicant's home. Any dog(s) in the applicant's home must have an introductory meeting with the rescue dog being considered, before any adoption can be completed. Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption. Exceptions to this policy can be found on the Adoptable Dog Page. Bear is a 2 year old Cane Corso Mastiff Mix who is seeking a forever someone who loves adventure and lounging.  He's the perfect mix of outdoors and indoors - a by-your-side kind of guy who likes to be with his people!  Bear is a young, active, friendly, hunky 100 pound very smart boy who has many basics down pat.  He loves to explore, go on car rides, eat ice cream while hanging out on the couch, chase bubbles, and he LOVES to hike. If you are active with strong Mastiff breed handling experience and live in an all adult home, this lovable boy is for you! Bear prefers to be an only child. While he does not react to other dogs outside of the home, he does not always like to share his indoor space with them. Instead, he prefers to have the limelight all to himself - as well as the playing tug of war, toys, kisses, and cuddles. ;)  Bear is in search of someone who will give him the structure and discipline he needs as well as the love, attention, and activity that he desires.  And ice cream - don't forget the ice cream!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 20, 2023, 8:54 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fill out an Adoption Application SAILOR IS LOCATED IN JOHNSTOWN, OH. Sailor is a strikingly handsome brindle Mastiff (mix) looking for a place to call home.   Likes: Food, pets/love, drinking water from a hose, chewing on nyla-bones and playing with other dogs. Dislikes: Have not found any yet... Personality: Sailor is fun loving, playful, and enjoys being around people and dogs. Temperament: He is very easy going - no aggression observed whatsoever. Energy level: Medium - he's young! Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?:  Sailor is good with other dogs; seems cat interested but have not determined his level of tolerance with cats quite yet. Not good with: (Cats? Dogs? Strangers? Men? Kids?) Sailor should not be placed with small kids due to size/jumping. Cats are questionable. Housetrained: He's working on it! He does well during the day and is surely going to have this potty training thing down soon. Crate trained: Yes Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)?  Yes Walks well on a leash?  He likes to be in the fenced yard at his foster home and hasn't had much opportunity to be on a leash, so this is unknown.  He likely needs leash training. Challenges:  Since he was found severely emaciated, Sailor is food motivated. He takes food kindly given the circumstances, but he will need to be fed separately from other dogs to avoid any potential conflict. Any Medical issues? Yes - Sailor has mandibular osteopathy which may go away with time. He has large lumps of inflammation on both sides of his jaw. This does not seem to be painful to him. His foster can discuss this with potential adopters to provide additional information. What would be the best kind of home? Sailor would love another dog sibling to play with and a fenced yard is required. He would definitely benefit from someone in the household working from home to solidify his potty training. No small children as he likes to jump. Story
Hello. My name is Star, pleased to meet you! Friendly, loving and waiting for you! I'm fairly quiet, and very well-mannered. Also, I am a snuggler, so come on by and snuggle with me, you'll be sure to take me home. I do this thing when I'm happy to see you - I make the cutest little puffing noises! Even though I'm friendly, and I get along with all the other dogs, I stand my ground and won't let others intimidate me. Also, I don't like to be bullied so I stand up for myself. So, feel free to bring my future siblings so we can get to know each other properly. Hope to see you soon! Oh and by the way I am in TN right now but you have nothing to worry about because we transport using the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Shane….is a handsome 10 month old Anatolian Shepherd mix that is 80 pounds of goofball youth and innocence.  He was originally owned by a  young man who didn’t have a clue on owning such a big and imposing dog.  He tied Shane out and that was his way of owning this gorgeous and needy dog.  Shane needs a good foster or an adopter to shape him in to the spectacular dog that God created him to be.  Yes, he is big…. And a bull in a China shop at times, but with a training knowledgeable home, he will be brought to a discipline and training place with fabulous results.   He will be a 100 pound dog ultimately and  gorgeous. Please offer your help to foster at least, if you cannot adopt.   Contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you want to adopt or to foster.  He needs some solid help for a short time in foster care or a direct adopt.September 21, 2023, 12:12 am
