Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup! A wonderful sponsor is willing to cover my adoption cost of $225.00 so I can be adopted and enjoy being someone's best friend! All adopters must be vetted and approved to adopt from FOCCAS.Ruby has a way of making you feel wanted, when she greets you with a wagging nub and sweet face after a long day! She is very quiet and doesn't mind other dogs but would do best with a Male. She likes long walks and is doing well with leash training, and knows sit,down, touch and shake already! She does excellent when her foster mom bathes her and clips her nails, and is very patient.She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She's good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls.... And she's strong. She's a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She's not a guard dog, she'll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feet. HER HEART IS AS BIGS AS HER PAWS!! Iris is a (7) month old Cane Corso that we obtained along with her sister. She is a big clumsy goof who likes to play with her toys and flop over. She loves to be with her people and will follow you around everywhere. She does have a cherry eye but it is scheduled to be repaired at the end of January. She is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. She is a gentle giant and loves to snuggle on the couch. She is UTD on her shots/vaccines. Not spay yet. 90% housebroken. She will go to the door therefore, you need to be quick to open it for her.

Meet Stormy! She is a 1.5year old Cane Corso Mix. Stormy is a quiet sweet girl who is shy at first, but warms up quickly. She is spayed, house broken, crate trained, walks well on a leash and loves car rides. The shelter where Stormy came from said that she doesn't do well with cats or cat sized dogs. Her current foster family doesn't have cats or small dogs so we have been unable to test her. She gets along with the dogs in her foster home who are all around her size. Don't miss out on this sweet girl!

Tempo is an Italian Mastiff (Cane Corso) pure breed. Tempos is fun, joyful, sensitive, loving and very active. He’s almost 3 years old. His birthday is on March 1st. Tempo requires daily outdoor exercises. He loves going for long walks, loves the river, and he likes most dogs. Please be advice he does NOT like cats. He’s a friendly dog, but always supervised. He’s good with kids as well but always supervised since he’s a big dog and heavy. This breed is NOT just for anyone, this breed requires someone with experience. Tempo requires lots of attention. He loves being around it’s owner. Tempo is confident and very protective of its owner as well. Tempos diet currently consists on Rawmix Kibble from Open Farm. Always make sure he has water when eating. He loves bananas. I do NOT want Tempo to end up on a shelter. I will be careful with applications. I am not asking for adoption fee, but there will be a fee on Tempos ground transportation if out of state.

He’s a big, strong Cane Corso with the soul of a puppy and the heart of a lapdog. He doesn’t just enjoy attention — he lives for it. Every time I pass by his kennel, he’s already there at the door, his little tail — or as I call it, his “nublet” — wagging back and forth, waiting patiently and hopefully for some love.The moment you open the door, he gently leans in, asking for head rubs or back scratches — and he’ll stay right there beside you as long as you let him. He is calm, deeply affectionate, and always eager to connect. He’s not pushy — just quietly insistent in the sweetest way, like he knows your time and touch are something special. And to him, they are.I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Domer since he arrived, and he’s more than just another dog at the shelter to me — he’s truly my favorite. Over time, I’ve gotten to know his personality and train him using both basic and informal cues. He knows:SitLay downPaw (shake)StayUp (to get on a bench)Down (to get off a bench)Go (permission to cross a threshold)And informal phrases like “let’s go” and “come on.”He learns quickly — especially if you have the right treats. (Right now, he’ll do just about anything for dried chicken!) But more than that, he learns because he wants to please and be close to you. He’s a sensitive, smart, emotionally intuitive dog who forms strong bonds with the people he trusts.We’re also continuing to work on his leash manners. They’ve improved greatly with consistency and patience, but they still need some polishing. *UTD/MICROCHIPPED/ ON MONTHLY FLEA AND TICK AND HEARTWORM PILL/SPAYED *good with cats *no kids under 12 ( she is very fast when she runs) *non- reactive dogs are best to pair her with *loves chew toys and tennis balls!! On Feb 08, 2024, Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control officer, reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! We have dog tested Beauty at our dog trainers place in Athens, TN and found out that she is good with non-reactive dogs ( we have been pairing her up with non- reactive dogs at our rescue for play) .She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy, young kids could unknowingly get in her way. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout! Her most favorite toy is a tennis ball! if you have two, that would be great or else you WILL go through ALOT of them because she will chew them up right away! We are teaching her to bring it and leave it and wait for us to toss her second ball. sometimes, we will work with her on just one ball....but that is a lot more work vs having a second one ready haha! We do believe she is house broken as she has not made any messes in our home or the dog building. **We do offer foster to adopt to do a trail run** ( PLEASE ASK US FOR MORE INFORMATION AS WE TAILOR TO YOUR NEEDS/ REQUESTS AS NEEDED, THE BEST WE CAN) If you have any questions, please feel free to get ahold of us through here, or through our website at www.woofwooffosters.org . He was actually purchased from a breeder as a puppy, and the family has a baby on the way, and do not have the time to commit to moose, which is why they trusted us to find him a wonderful and suitable forever home. This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 110 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up-to-date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides. Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet!
