HER HEART IS AS BIGS AS HER PAWS!! Iris is a (7) month old Cane Corso that we obtained along with her sister. She is a big clumsy goof who likes to play with her toys and flop over. She loves to be with her people and will follow you around everywhere. She does have a cherry eye but it is scheduled to be repaired at the end of January. She is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. She is a gentle giant and loves to snuggle on the couch. She is UTD on her shots/vaccines. Not spay yet. 90% housebroken. She will go to the door therefore, you need to be quick to open it for her.

Story
THEIR HEARTS ARE AS BIG AS THEIR PAWS!! My husband and I obtained these female sisters in September 2025. They are now 7 months old. Annie is grey brindle- she is so smart, energetic, and loves it outside. She will play for hours and then come in a be a couch potato. She has plenty of toys but seems to get bored with them and chew on things she should not. She needs some cognitive items/toys/dog puzzles. She does have a broken tail that has healed (the backyard breeder did not know how it happened). The vet says is causes her no discomfort. We also feel she may have some hearing impairment (though it has not been diagnosed). We are working with her on the leash and stopping her from jumping up because she does not know how big she is. She tries to be a lap dog. She is truly lovable and sweet. We are rehoming her because we have (2) Frenchies and cats - it is just too much for us. She is UTD on shots/vaccines. Not spade yet. She will make the right family a great dog!

Story
Meet Stormy! She is a 1.5year old Cane Corso Mix. Stormy is a quiet sweet girl who is shy at first, but warms up quickly. She is spayed, house broken, crate trained, walks well on a leash and loves car rides. The shelter where Stormy came from said that she doesn't do well with cats or cat sized dogs. Her current foster family doesn't have cats or small dogs so we have been unable to test her. She gets along with the dogs in her foster home who are all around her size. Don't miss out on this sweet girl!

Story
There are some dogs that quietly steal your heart the moment you meet them — for one of our employees, that dog is Domer.`From the very first day he arrived at the shelter, Domer has stood out. He’s a big, strong Cane Corso with the soul of a puppy and the heart of a lapdog. He doesn’t just enjoy attention — he lives for it. Every time I pass by his kennel, he’s already there at the door, his little tail — or as I call it, his “nublet” — wagging back and forth, waiting patiently and hopefully for some love. The moment you open the door, he gently leans in, asking for head rubs or back scratches — and he’ll stay right there beside you as long as you let him. He is calm, deeply affectionate, and always eager to connect. He’s not pushy — just quietly insistent in the sweetest way, like he knows your time and touch are something special. And to him, they are.I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Domer since he arrived, and he’s more than just another dog at the shelter to me — he’s truly my favorite. Over time, I’ve gotten to know his personality and train him using both basic and informal cues. He knows:SitLay downPaw (shake)StayUp (to get on a bench)Down (to get off a bench)Go (permission to cross a threshold)And informal phrases like “let’s go” and “come on.”He learns quickly — especially if you have the right treats. (Right now, he’ll do just about anything for dried chicken!) But more than that, he learns because he wants to please and be close to you. He’s a sensitive, smart, emotionally intuitive dog who forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. We’re also continuing to work on his leash manners. They’ve improved greatly with consistency and patience, but they still need some polishing. With regular guidance and structure, I have no doubt he’ll get there — he’s already made so much progress.Domer is a dog who deserves to be seen — truly seen — for who he is. Behind his big, powerful frame is a soft-hearted, loyal companion who just wants to love and be loved in return. He would thrive in a home, or with a rescue that can offer him the structure, care, and affection he so deeply craves. There’s something really special about Domer. I hope someone out there sees him the way I do — not just as another shelter dog, but as the incredible soul he is. He’s ready to give his whole heart to someone. He’s just waiting for them to find him.`Domer is in need of an adopter with large breed exp

Story
Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup! A wonderful sponsor is willing to cover my adoption cost of $225.00 so I can be adopted and enjoy being someone's best friend! All adopters must be vetted and approved to adopt from FOCCAS.Ruby has a way of making you feel wanted, when she greets you with a wagging nub and sweet face after a long day! She is very quiet and doesn't mind other dogs but would do best with a Male. She likes long walks and is doing well with leash training, and knows sit, down, touch and shake already! She does excellent when her foster mom bathes her and clips her nails, and is very patient. She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She's good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls.... And she's strong. She's a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She's not a guard dog, she'll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feet. Ruby needs to be an only dog.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. My adoption fee has been donated by an anonymous donor!!! Story
Hi, I’m Barry! I’m about a year old, 85lbs, tall, handsome, and—if I do say so myself—a certified gentle giant. My friends say I’m equal parts goofball and sweetheart. With my long body and big lovable head, I make the perfect cuddle buddy. I’m gentle with people and love to have fun—playing with toys, showing off my zoomies, or making you laugh with my silly antics. I get along great with other dogs, big or small, and I’m always up for a good play session. To be 100% transparent, I do not enjoy high energy dogs and I tend to always hang out with the smaller dogs. I am definitely not a dog park kind of fella! When it’s time to relax, I’m just as happy to chill out next to you. I walk nicely on a leash (unless a squirrel shows up), I’m crate trained, and I sleep soundly through the night like the very good boy I am. I might look like a big puppy (okay, I am a big puppy), but I promise I’ve got a soft heart and an even softer snuggle game. If you’re looking for a calm, loyal, sweet, goofy best friend, I think that might be me.
