Story
Max is an energetic, special boy! Max loves people but when he gets excited he can be quite mouthy and when he doesn’t get his way can be pushy. These are typical puppy behaviours but unfortunately he didn’t get the necessary training and guidance as he grew older and larger. Our Trainer will work with the successful adopters to ensure a successful transition. Potential adopters should expect to attend up to 6 (complimentary) training classes with his Trainer. ABOUT MAX: - Cane Corso Mix, Large-sized, High-energy - 6 year-old, Male, 75 lbs - Max came to EHS as an unclaimed stray - Max loves to go on hikes and runs and to play with his toys and interactive games - Max is neutered, house-trained, microchipped and has core vaccinations MAX’S IDEAL HOME: - A family that lives in a quiet neighbourhood - Rural area preferred - Previous dog experience required - Active but patient and calm family that is willing to give him plenty of exercise - Experience handling large breed dogs and committed to continuing his training - No other pets, no children and few visitors in the home Are you the special adopter for this special boy? If you have any questions, contact: jenc.ehs@gmail.com

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet, Bruce Almighty   From severely emaciated to full of love — Brucey’s comeback story is incredible. Now this sweet 7-month-old Cane Corso mix just needs his forever family. At just 7 months old, Brucey the Cane Corso mix has already overcome a tough start. Brucey spent the first six months of his life being neglected and arrived in rescue extremely emaciated, but you would never know it from the loving, gentle boy he is today. He’s now healthy, happy, and currently weighs just under 40 lbs. Because of his early malnourishment, we don’t expect him to reach the typical giant Cane Corso size — which just means more manageable cuddles. Brucey is a total love bug who believes the best place to be is leaning against his people for affection. He’s currently living with six other dogs and three cats, and he thinks everyone is a friend. His play style is classic goofy puppy — bouncy, wiggly, and always ready for a game — so he’d love a home with another playful dog. Brucey is also learning his manners! He knows sit and wait, walks nicely on leash, and is almost fully house trained. At night he sleeps quietly in his crate from 10 PM to 7:30 AM like a champ. He’s a medium-energy puppy who enjoys chew toys, stuffies, and playtime… but his favourite activity is definitely snuggling up with his people. Because he’s still a strong, food-motivated puppy, a home with dog-savvy kids would be best. Brucey has come such a long way from the skinny, neglected pup he once was. Now he just needs a family who will love him for the rest of his life. Brucey’s Quick Facts • Age: 7 months • Breed: Cane Corso mix • Weight: Just under 40 lbs (likely smaller than a typical Corso due to early malnourishment) • Energy Level: Medium – playful puppy with a cuddly side • Dogs: Yes! Currently living with 6 dogs of all sizes • Cats: Yes – respectful and curious • Kids: Yes, best with dog-savvy kids due to his size and food motivation • House Trained: About 95% • Crate Trained: Sleeps in crate overnight like a champ • Leash Skills: Walks well on leash • Favourite Things: Chew toys, stuffies, and leaning into his humans for cuddles • Ideal Home: Brucey would love a home with another playful dog and a family ready to continue his training and help him keep building confidence after a tough start to life.
