Chief is a 1.5-year-old Cane Corso Mastiff mix weighing in at an impressive 106 pounds! But don't let his extra-large size fool you, because this handsome boy has an even bigger heart and extra love to give!
The staff at the sanctuary can't say enough wonderful things about Chief. In fact, they've described him as a "perfect angel baby," and once you meet him, you'll understand why! He's one of the sweetest boys around, with a gentle, loving personality that makes it nearly impossible not to fall head over heels for him. He's even an absolute sweetheart during medical handling, which says a lot about this gentle giant!
Chief loves to play, and sometimes he forgets just how big he really is! In his mind, he's just a little puppy having the time of his life. His goofy, playful personality is guaranteed to bring plenty of smiles and laughter to his future family. With his size and enthusiasm, he'll need a family who is comfortable with a big, playful boy who doesn't always realize he's 106 pounds of pure love!
Chief is dog friendly and would enjoy having a canine companion to share his adventures with. He would also do well with children ages 5 and older. As for cats, we haven't had the opportunity to see how he does with them yet, so his compatibility with feline friends is currently unknown.
While Chief certainly enjoys his playtime, he's also ready for the good life! He's dreaming of a home where he can have a big, comfy couch to call his own, plenty of love and attention, and a family who will remind him every day just how handsome he is. Not that he needs reminding, of course!
Chief truly is the whole package: handsome, affectionate, playful, and as sweet as they come. He may take up a little extra room on your couch, but we promise he'll fill your home with even more love.
