Story
Meet our B puppies! These puppies did not have the greatest start to life, and arrived at Animal Friends after being rescued by our Humane Investigations team. When they arrived, they had several injuries that needed to be addressed, but with the help of our medical team, are now feeling and looking their best and ready for adoption! They have spent some time in foster care, and are very active and playful puppies who will need adopters who are able to give them lots of exercise and enrichment. These puppies are most likely Cane Corso mixes. This breed of dog grows to be very large, so adopters will need to be prepared for their puppy to do lots of growing! For this litter of puppies, we are also requiring that adopters have Cane Corso/large guardian breed experience, as this litter is not for first time dog owners, and will need adopters that understand this breed's unique needs. These puppies may be able to live with another dog, pending a successful meet and greet at the shelter. Animal Friends will be providing adopters with a certificate for our Kinder Puppy classes, to help get a jump start on training these incredibly smart young dogs! Think you could be the perfect, large guardian breed experienced home for one of these incredible pups? Fill out an application -> thinkingoutsidethecage.org All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines before being made available for adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Spike is a beautiful 5 year old spayed female Cane Corso (mix). She likes blankets and nesting, nature walks, belly rubs, baths (yes a dog that likes baths!), stuffies and car rides. Spike does not care for neighborhood walks as she will pancake and want to return to her home. One of Spike's favorite activities is stealing clean laundry to take to her kennel. Spike is good with kids and cats, however, she is dog selective (she does not do well with large, female dogs). Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Important notes before applying. Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina. We will not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption.  Proof of any of the following exceptions is required: The intact dog is a working member of a law enforcement, or search and rescue/recovery team. The intact dog is registered under the auspices of the American Kennel Club and is actively being shown. A veterinarian has determined the sterilization procedure would harm the intact dog.  We believe in Force Free Training Methods and do not approve of methods or devices using pain or force to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior.  Homes with highly varnished steps must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. **We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Coco is an 80 lb Cane Corso. She loves people and gets along with other dogs. She loves playing ball in the yard and has lots of young dog energy. Coco needs some work with jumping. She just gets very excited to see her favorite people. For this reason only, we recommend no small children. Coco is utd on shots, is spayed, and has no known medical conditions. She is such a sweet girl and would love a family of her own to love. Story
Meet Otto! Otto is a lovable Anatolian Shepherd mix around 4 years old and 72lb. This big boy is playful and energetic, making him the perfect companion for an active owner. Otto thrives on structure and is eager to learn! One of Otto’s adorable quirks is how he leans his head into your leg when he's looking for scratches. He’s always happy to be close, but even happier when he’s playing with you! Whether it’s running around the yard exploring or enjoying a scenic hike, Otto is always up for an adventure. He is potty trained and crate trained, but he could use some better leash manners. When the day's excitement comes to an end, Otto loves to curl up into a cozy ball, resembling the biggest cinnamon roll you’ve ever seen. If you’re looking for a goofy, loyal, and fun-loving companion who will keep you laughing, Otto is your guy!

Please fill out an adoption application found at bdrescue.org Ollie - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Looking for a new FBF (furry best friend)? Look no further than Ollie (hey, hey, that's me!) and I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I is a sweet, adorable, and playful 3 month-old puppy that is super energetic and has that cuteness overload that will win over your heart with my charming and sometimes mischievous personality. I is ready to start this next chapter in life with lots of puppy kisses, tail wags and playtime with my new family!! Are you ready for some daily LOL's? I'm just the lil guy to give them to you!!! I loves to run around and play with toys and the other foster pups here. I has a lot of energy and playfulness that makes me the perfect companion for lots of adventures. I would be a pawsomely perfect addition to your family as a 'sibling' or hogging all the attention as your one and only. I do great with people both tall and small but do remember I have those sharp lil teeth and nails. I get on great with my 'siblings' and although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat yet, at my tender age if introduced properly I should do fine with them too! I'm a very easy going go with the flow type of fella that will find my own entertainment when you get tired ;) I would do well in a home with an active family that is looking for a tag-a-long with whatever you might be doing...anything from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting! I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness on a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for you and your lifestyle, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application! It can be found at bdrescue.org These adorable siblings include - Ollie, Monty and Lady
