Story
Meet Velvet — the 8-year-old Cane Corso who deserves to spend her golden years wrapped in love and comfort. After a life of being used for breeding, Velvet was discarded like yesterday’s news — underweight, struggling to move, and left at a shelter when she needed compassion the most. But despite everything she’s endured, Velvet’s spirit has never wavered. She’s incredibly sweet, lights up when she sees her people, and has the most endearing habit of “talking” to you when she’s excited. Loyal and affectionate, Velvet is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and will stick by your side through thick and thin. She’s great with dogs of all sizes and absolutely adores children. Velvet is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is a must. X-rays showed no major joint damage, and since starting a high-quality supplement routine, Velvet is already showing huge improvements — she’s getting around better and becoming more active by the day. Velvet deserves so much more than what life has given her so far. She deserves soft beds, gentle hands, and someone who sees her not for what she was used for — but for the loving, soulful companion she is. If you're looking for a gentle giant to cherish, spoil, and love for the rest of her days, Velvet is ready to give her heart to you. Story
Hi… I’m Monica. I might not be the kind of girl who runs right up to greet you—but if you give me a little time, I promise I’m worth the wait. I’m a 5-year-old Cane Corso, and new people and new places can make me a bit unsure at first. I like to take things slow, observe, and figure out if everything feels safe. But once I do? That’s when you’ll see the real me—the loyal, gentle, deeply loving companion I truly am. A peaceful home, a predictable routine, and someone patient who understands that good things take time—that’s where I shine. Loud, busy environments aren’t really my style, but a cozy space with someone kind? That’s my dream.FOSTER REASON: I am waiting on a dental procedure before I can be ready for adoption. I am available for Foster-To-Adopt though so we can get to know each other before making things official. Come meet me from 12 PM to 5 PM, open every day. No application or appointment required - walk-ins welcome. SPCA of Texas, 2400 Lone Star Drive, Dallas, TX 75212

Story
Meet Champ – The Underdog Ready to Win Your Heart Champ isn't just his name- it's who he is. This 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix (71 lbs) has spent 411 days waiting as of 05/16/26, and through it all, he has never stopped believing that his person is out there. As one of our Diamond Dogs, his adoption fee is just $75- but the loyalty, devotion, and heart he brings are truly priceless. Champ is the kind of dog who forms a deep, unbreakable bond with his person. He is incredibly people-focused, always looking to connect, and thrives when he has someone to call his own. Once you're in his circle, you're everything to him. He walks beautifully on a leash, is intelligent and eager to learn, and does best with structure, routine, and confident leadership. Champ is not just looking for a home- he's looking for a teammate, someone who will guide him, believe in him, and let him be the loyal companion he was meant to be. Champ would do best in a home with older children or adults who are comfortable with a large, strong dog. He is not a match for homes with cats or small animals and will require a securely fenced yard (6Âפ ft, no chain link). He may do well with a submissive female dog or thrive as the only pet where he can fully focus on his person. After more than a year in the shelter, Champ is more than ready to step into the life he deserves- a life where he is no longer waiting, but finally home. Champ is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative as of 03/27/26. If you're looking for a dog who will stand by your side, be fiercely loyal, and give you his whole heart, Champ is ready to meet you. He's waited long enough- now it's his time to win. Story
Meet Molly, a 6-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Pit Bull mix who weighs approximately 93 pounds and is looking for the right home to match her loyal and intelligent personality. Molly was surrendered to our facility after she was not compatible with the other dogs in her previous home. She is very treat-motivated, knows several basic commands, walks well on a leash, and even knows some fun tricks like offering her paw for a “shake.” Molly appears to be both housebroken and crate trained, which should help make her transition into a new home smoother. As a middle-aged, extra-large breed dog, Molly prefers a calmer environment and is past the stage of puppy antics. Because of this, she would do best in a home with children 16 years or older, or in an adult-only household. Molly does not do well with female dogs but may coexist with a calm, large-breed male. If you currently have a large male dog in the home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure they are a good match. Molly's adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on her rabies vaccination, and up to date on basic boosters. If you are interested in meeting Molly, please submit an adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/our-pets/available-dogs/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
