Story
🏰 Queen Bobs: Ruler of the Cat Room Seeks Loyal Subject 🐾 Allow us to introduce Bobs—the undisputed monarch of our cat room, long may she reign (and she will). With her signature bob-tail and attitude for days, Bobs has been gracing our shelter with her regal presence longer than any other feline. Some call her a "long-term resident." She prefers “Supreme Overlord of the Cat Wing.” Bobs enjoys the finer things in life: ☀️ Lounging in the window like she’s posing for a Renaissance portrait 🍗 Eating with gusto (preferably not sharing) 👑 Looking down upon the lesser peasant cats with the judgment of a thousand tabbies She loves being petted—until she doesn’t. And when she’s reached her royal petting limit? Well, she’ll give you a polite (ish) nibble to remind you that the Queen is in charge here. Consider it a love bite... or a small tax for touching royalty. Bobs is a cat with personality, confidence, and just enough sass to keep you on your toes. She’s not for the faint of heart—but for the right human, she’ll be the ultimate quirky companion. After all this time holding court at the shelter, we think it’s time Bobs found a kingdom of her own. Could your home be her castle? 👑 Come meet Bobs—before she declares eminent domain on your heart.

Story
Percy (short for Persephone) was adopted from Monroe County Animal Shelter in mid-2025. The shelter stated she was around 3 years old, but she is the size of a 9-month old and has not grown since her adoption. She came in as a second cat to a household with a 9 year old who does not like her company and is unable to adjust to her. Percy is energetic and would love another cat she can wrestle a little with, or a more energetic household once she's adjusted. Litter trained, fixed, up to date on shots. WILL stay on your lap or in your arms as long as you are willing to keep her there. Willing to travel a bit to make sure she finds the right fit for her.

Story
Runt was adopted from a litter of kittens found. I took all four and was able to find homes for three. He was always shy and skiddish. As he grew it became increasingly apparent he would not fit in with my other cats. This is not because he’s aggressive, but because he’s timid and shy. The other cats attack him so he stays hidden most of the time. This is no life for a cat. Runt will make a perfect pet for someone retired, or who wants just one cat. He gets along great with my Golden Retriever. When the grandchildren come over, he hides. So, although he’s not aggressive, small children might not be a good fit if they’re wanting a cat they can hold. Sadly, before I knew any better, I had him de-clawed. I now understand what that process entails and it haunts me. That said, if he’s lucky enough to be placed with a retired couple this might be helpful to them (in terms of them being accidentally scratched.). Once he feels safe, he loves to be petted and is extremely loving.

Story
Millie is a talkative, attention-loving sweetheart. She is a little bit of a princess when it comes to her litter box but she is the sweetest girl I have had. She loves to cuddle and will follow you around the house. She is always interested in what you are doing. Millie is an inside only cat, and she is about 7 years old and was adopted by my family in 2019. Because she has been strictly inside, she has not been to the vet in a while. She is believed to have been a stray at some point as she has a notch in her ear. Millie loves people but does not enjoy dogs and will tolerate other cats, but she does better as an only fur child.
