Story
**Nola is a Patient Paw, please ask about her reduced adoption fee!**Age: 8 years oldWeight: 5.6kg / 12.4lbsMeet Nola - a sweet but shy lady who blossoms best as the only cat in a calm, peaceful home. She can get a little spicy when she feels stressed or overwhelmed—she’s not mean, just nervous and needing space. With patience and respect for her boundaries, Nola shows her true gentle side. She previously spent some time in foster care where she had the time she needed to work through her fears and become the loyal companion you’re looking for. She picks her tribe and will let you know when you’ve been adopted into it. Once she does, she’ll stick to you like Velcro.Nola is a senior gal that still rocks the beauty of her youth. She’s a bit overweight and would benefit from a gradual weight loss plan to help her live a healthier, happier, and longer life. She might feel shy and unsure when she comes into her furever home; needing a little extra kindness and calm. Nola is searching for a home that is a relaxed and patient space where she can settle in at her own pace. She would benefit from a home with a consistent feeding schedule and a safe, comfortable environment. The foster noted that she rarely meows and was super friendly to other adults who came to visit. She didn’t meet any children when she was with the foster.Don`t worry about keeping an eye on the squirrels and magpies in the neighbourhood … Nola will do that for you.At the end of the day all she really wants is a sunny window and someone to care … don’t we all?

Story
Age: 1.5 yearsIf you`re looking for a cat that thrives on attention, get ready to meet Meatball! Having come to us as he was under-stimulated in his previous home, Meatball is looking for a family that can offer him lots of playtime, enrichment activities, and all of the attention he can get! He always wants to be a part of the action and will even meow if there is a door keeping him from seeing you. It`s also recommended that Meatball`s new home has no young kids since he can be conflicted at times when it comes to being pet. If you have the time and energy to help meet Meatball`s needs (and get all of the love in return!), then come learn more about Meatball today!

Story
Age: 4 yearsSweet, shy, but with the gentlest heart, meet Trudy! Having come from a rough start to life, it`s no wonder it takes this timid tabby time to trust new people. But if you`re patient, offer plenty of space and treats, and have a calm, quiet home, you`ll start to see this little lady`s affectionate side! Trudy is a very good supervisor and would love to curl up on your lap or shoulder and purr away while you work. She also loves to be up high to survey her new surroundings, so be sure to offer her plenty of tall perches! If you have a soft spot for shy kitties with a lot of love to give, then Trudy just may be the girl for you!

**Hester is a Patient Paw, please ask about her reduced adoption fee!**Hester is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as she is not available to meet on site.Meet Hester! A former mama cat, Hester is still figuring out this whole `being a pet thing`. At least she doesn`t have to compete with her kittens for playtime anymore! Those troublemakers were always stealing all the best toys for themselves!! Like any young cat, Hester loves a good play session; she especially enjoys batting around springs and bubbles, or chasing balls on her ball track! She`s also partial to curling up for a nap in her favourite sunny windowsill. Now that the days are getting colder, Hester is even starting to cuddle up next to her foster family for a nap! Hester is working on gaining confidence with handling. She absolutely adores cheeks scratches and will lean in so hard she falls over. However, Hester has little patience for petting without permission and might give you a smack if you try! A teen or adult only home with the patience to let Hester learn to trust would be ideal for this goofy girl. If your home is full of cat toys that nobody plays with, your heart is longing for a goofy kitty to bring you joy, and you believe that cats don`t need to be perfect to be loved, then reach out to the adoptions team to meet Hester!

Story
Sam and Dean can`t go home until December 6.Sam and Dean are a bonded pair and must go home together!Meet Sam and Dean! This handsome pair of brothers are litter mates who`ve been together ever since, and now they`re looking for a new home! With their proclivity for long naps cuddled up together, and epic bird watching sessions in their favourite window, they`d be the perfect fit for a calmer household looking for some affectionate boys to brighten life. Sam and Dean enjoy long gentle strokes down their back, and cheek scritches. They can be a little shy with strangers, but quickly bond to their humans! One you earn their trust, they`ll always want to be nearby and will let you know with a plaintive meow if they can`t find you. Sam and Dean love to play, sleep and snuggle together, but as formerly unneutered males, they were not fond of other cats! Now that they are neutered, intros to other cats may be easier, but should still be slow and thoughtful to reduce stress and set everyone up for success. If you have a calm home that can give these gentle boys the security they crave, reach out to CHS!

Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as they are not available to meet on site.Sweet Chutney is such a goofball! She`s got a coat of gorgeous calico fluff, and knows how to use her looks to get what she wants! What does she want? A room full of toys that she can chase, pounce, scatter and snuggle! Chutney came from an overcrowding situation and is still gaining confidence with people. She`ll softly rest her little paws your leg to say hello, but isn`t quite ready to be touched. She has lived with cats before though, so it`s possible another kitty friend may help her gain confidence. If you can give a shy cat a soft place to land (and all the toys she can dream of) then reach out to CHS today!
