Story
Hobbes is a debonair, long-legged tabby gentleman who loves attention and will flop at your feet waiting for pets. He came to the SPCA after his previous guardian sadly passed away. He enjoys lazy naps and yummy snacks...maybe a bit too much as he has developed a bit of a big tummy and would benefit from a healthy diet to help him get trim. He is a very friendly and affectionate guy though may be a bit nervous and anxious at first in a new environment. He's used to a quiet adult home so would likely do best in a new home without young children, though older cat savvy kids may be fine. Hobbes has lived with other cats before and may be fine with other animals with proper, slow introductions. Hobbes has medial patellar luxation (MPL). Cats with this condition have "loose" kneecaps that occasionally slide out of the normal position and slip toward the inside of thecat's leg. Most cats with this condition appear normal most of the time, but when the kneecap slides out of place they will "skip" or "kick" out the affected back leg to slide the kneecap back into place. Cats with MPL should always be maintained at a healthy weight and should not be allowed to becomeoverweight because this places more demand on their joints. Overall Hobbes is a handsome and affectionate cat who will make a great addition to the right home. Could he be the match for you? Story
Rhys is the perfect match for anyone who loves a cat with personality. He's expressive, hilarious, and wonderfully communicative. This boy talks - his signature "mah!" while getting pets is guaranteed to make you smile.Rhys is all about connection. His dream day is simple: find a warm lap, settle in, and soak up affection. He'll follow you around, chat about his feelings, and proudly parade his toys like a tiny panther showing off his catch. He also has boundaries, and he's very clear about them. If Rhys needs space, he'll tell you with a growl or a swat - never out of the blue, always with warning. Respect those signals, and you'll earn his trust, his loyalty, and his very best snuggles. He's a bit of a weirdo, but in the most endearing way.Rhys thrives in a calm, adult‑only home with cat‑savvy humans who appreciate a feline with opinions. He's sensitive to people's energy and does best with someone confident, patient, and steady. Once he bonds, he bonds deeply. He has a history of urinary issues, but he's doing great on his current Hill's C/D + Metabolic diet and will need to stay on it. He also takes his medication like a champ. If you're a fellow quirky soul looking for a companion who will make you laugh, keep you company, and curl up in your lap like it's his life's purpose, Rhys might be your guy.Think you might be his person?Apply here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 9.31 Age: 6yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
McFlurry is a gentle, affectionate little kitten with a heart as soft as her name suggests. She's suspected to have hydrocephalus, which can sometimes make litter box use challenging. While she may have the occasional accident, her foster family has seen wonderful progress- with a consistent, attentive routine, McFlurry makes a genuine effort to use her litter box every time. This loving girl adores being close to her humans. Whether she's curled up for snuggles or watching TV by your side, McFlurry is happiest when she's sharing moments with the people she trusts. She currently lives comfortably with a friendly, social cat and could happily share her home with another calm, companionable feline friend.McFlurry is looking for a patient adopter who can offer her structure, understanding, and lots of love. In return, she'll give endless cuddles, sweetness, and the joy of watching a resilient little kitten thrive. Primary Color: Lynx Point Weight: 2.27 Age: 0yrs 6mths 3wks

Story
Chicken has spent his whole life outdoors, but he's more than ready to trade that rough-and-tumble lifestyle for the comfort and safety of an indoor home. He's a friendly, people-loving guy who soaks up attention and wants nothing more than to be part of someone's life. He'd still love a bit of adventure, though - a catio or some harness walks would make him the happiest boy. He's working hard on his litter box skills and just needs patience and consistency as he learns. Chicken hasn't been tested with other cats yet, but with humans, he's an absolute sweetheart. If you're looking for a loving companion who's ready for a fresh start, Chicken is your guy.Chicken is currently available for foster-to-adopt local to the South Okanagan area while he awaits his neuter surgery. Good with cats, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Eeyore may have earned his name from the solemn little expression he wears, but don't be fooled-beneath that serious face is a confident, endearing boy with plenty of personality. He knows what he wants, whether that's leaning his whole body into you for affection or quietly letting you know he'd prefer a bit of space. Once he trusts you, his love is unmistakable: he gives full‑force head‑butts, follows you around for pets, and happily settles in wherever you are. He's not a fan of being picked up, but he absolutely adores attention on his own terms.Eeyore came to us from a property with many other cats, some of whom were ill, so he has been exposed to upper respiratory infections. He was hit hard with a URI and now lives with chronic rhinitis-meaning he's a very snotty gentleman who will need a family comfortable helping him wipe his nose when needed. Luckily, he's wonderfully tolerant of the process. Any future feline friends should be up to date on their vaccines, but Eeyore himself would be just as content living with another cat as he would being the only one in the home. This big, handsome guy could also use a little support with weight loss, and he'll thrive in a home that can offer healthy meals, gentle playtime, and a calm environment where he can feel secure. With his mix of sass, sweetness, and unmistakable charm, Eeyore is ready to bring warmth, character, and companionship to a family who appreciates a cat with a little extra personality. Primary Color: Black Weight: 7.85 Age: 5yrs 4mths 0wks
