Story
Meet Katarina:Katarina is a charming senior girl with a soft heart and an even softer personality. Known affectionately as "Mrr-Kat" for the sweet little sounds she makes while "talking" with her people, she loves companionship and will happily carry on conversations throughout the day.Katarina is one of the gentlest cats you could meet. While she's not a fan of being picked up or sitting on laps, once she chooses her person, she'll want to be nearby all the time-napping, lounging, and quietly keeping you company. And once you've earned her trust, be prepared: belly rubs are a must!Like many cats, Katarina takes a little time to adjust to new surroundings. It may take a few weeks for her true personality to shine, but with patience and love, she blossoms into a devoted and affectionate companion.Katarina is also managing a few medical conditions:*She will be on medicated eye drops lifelong*She also has spondylosis, so will be on joint supplements and pain medication to help her with her comfort. That will continue while she is at the weight she is at*She is also working on a weight-loss journey. (Risk of diabetes) Once she has reached a healthier weight a recheck with your vet on next steps will be necessary *Any additional information will be gone over in your Meet & Greet! She will thrive with a family committed to helping her stay healthy through proper care, routine veterinary follow-up, and a balanced diet. In return, she'll reward you with endless sweetness, gentle companionship, and plenty of adorable "mrrr" conversations. If you're looking for a loving senior cat who will be your quiet best friend, Katarina may be the perfect match. 🐾💕https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/♥ Primary Color: Calico Weight: 7.05 Age: 10yrs 8mths 4wks

Story
**Kerry is available for foster-to-adopt local to the South Okanagan area**Meet Ker-Bear!This sweet, gruff-looking gentleman has been through a lot in his life. While we don't know exactly what Kerry's past looked like, it's clear that life wasn't always kind to him. He came into our care after being found outdoors in rough condition, covered in scabs and scars and suffering from significant hair loss and painful skin lesions. Uncomfortable and itchy from head to toe, Kerry was also dealing with several fractured teeth that left exposed nerves, making even mealtime a painful experience.Despite everything, Kerry has shown us just how resilient he is.A quiet, stoic soul, Kerry patiently accepted the care of his shelter family as his skin healed with medicated baths, gentle moisturizers, and lots of TLC. He is currently awaiting dental treatment to address his painful teeth and help him finally enjoy life more comfortably. Now, Kerry is ready to leave outdoor life behind and settle into the peaceful indoor retirement he deserves.Kerry enjoys spending time with the people he trusts, but he's a cat who appreciates having his boundaries respected. He's wonderfully expressive and isn't shy about telling you how he's feeling. Whether it's a serious look, a gentle mouthy reminder, or a light paw tap, Kerry communicates clearly when he's had enough attention. Once he's done socializing, he'll happily wander off to one of his favorite spots: a cozy hideaway or a high perch where he can quietly watch the world go by.Because Kerry has a lower tolerance for handling and prefers interactions on his own terms, he would do best in an adult-only home with experienced, cat-savvy guardians who understand and respect feline body language. In return, they'll gain the companionship of a resilient, independent, and deeply lovable cat who's finally ready to enjoy the safe, comfortable life he's earned. If you're looking for a quiet companion with plenty of character and a heart of gold beneath that rugged exterior, Kerry may be the perfect match for you. ❤️ Primary Color: Black Weight: 7.62 Age: 7yrs 2mths 0wks
