Story
Missy is an outgoing senior lady who sadly came to the SPCA when her previous guardian could no longer care for her. She's a friendly, regal lady who loves attention and will flop at your feet waiting for pets and love to be bestowed on her royal personage. She enjoys lazy naps and yummy snacks, maybe a little too much, since she is overweight. She will benefit from a good quality diet to help her trim down and get her feminine figure back. A good diet will also be important in her senior years to help keep her as healthy as possible. Missy doesn't seem to be a fan of other cats so may do best as the only animal in the home as she seems to be used to being by herself with her person. We're not sure if she's been around children but she may be fine with older kids who are cat savvy and know how to handle a senior cat. Missy enjoys attention and getting brushed. An adopter should be prepared to brush her regularly to help keep her longer coat in tip top shape as it can be hard for senior cats to full groom themselves as easily. Overall Missy is a lovely lady who will make a wonderful loving companion. Story
Meet Journey! This terrific tabby, with a larger-than-life personality, has certainly had a bit of a journey to get to where she is. She apparently has been through a couple homes, through no fault of her own, and was recently brought to the SPCA suffering from a broken hind leg. Sadly, she had to have her leg amputated but that isn't slowing her down. She is adjusting to life quickly on three legs and has quite the adventurous spirit. It is recommended that due to her missing leg, she either be an indoor only cat or only go out on harness or in a secure, outdoor area like a catio. We don't know exactly how she got injured but the hope is to prevent it from ever happening again. This girl will be just as happy inside if she has lots of toys to play with, scratching posts to climb, and gets lots of attention. She loves pets and is very friendly once she gets to know you. She can be a bit nervous at first in a new environment but soon her curiosity and outgoing spirit win out. We're not sure if Journey has lived with kids or other animals before but may be able to with proper, slow introductions. This lovely lady will make a wonderful companion and great addition to a home. Could it be you who steals her heart?Apply online at the link below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Grey Tabby Weight: 3.5 Age: 2yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
Meet Lulu & Oscar - Our Sweet Little Sea Pair 🐾⚓Lulu (female) and Oscar (male) are a beautiful bonded duo who have just come into our care after spending their entire lives living aboard a boat. These two have known the gentle sway of the water and the salty sea breeze as home, and they're now looking for their next big adventure - together.Lulu is a true little sea queen. She's affectionate, confident, and has a very refined taste - fresh prawns are her absolute favorite! She's happiest when she's close to her people, soaking up attention or watching the world go by from a sunny perch.Oscar, her devoted companion, is a laid-back sweetheart. While seafood isn't really his thing, he loves being part of the action. He's the kind of boy who will happily tag along for the ride, taking in the views and keeping you company wherever you go. Calm, gentle, and loyal, Oscar balances Lulu's spirited charm perfectly.Because they've spent their lives on a boat, they would absolutely thrive with a fisherman, boater, or anyone who spends time on the water and would love two furry first mates. They're well-adjusted to that lifestyle and find comfort in being close to their humans.Lulu and Oscar share a special bond and must be adopted together. If you're looking for loving companions who bring a little seaside magic wherever they go, this pair might just be your perfect crew.Ready to welcome these two aboard? 🐟💙 Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 7.2 Age: 3yrs 6mths 4wks

Story
Meet Hydra! This outgoing and friendly cat came to the SPCA from a home with too many cats to manage. She had been raising her kittens but is now looking for her chance at her own fur-ever family. Hydra would likely do well in a home with other animals, particularly another cat or two, with proper, slow introductions. She may be fine with cat savvy children as well given time to adjust as she is very affectionate and loves attention, demanding it by calling out and rubbing up against you affectionately. Hydra is used to being an indoor cat and will make a great addition to any home and certainly be a wonderful, loving companion. She is a delightful lady with a loving personality. Hydra is used to being an indoor only cat. Whoever meets her can't help but fall in love with this fantastic feline. Good with cats,
Story
Meet Pegasus! Once this little beauty shares her love with you, you'll feel as if you have wings. A sweet but initially shy young cat, Pegasus came to the SPCA from a home with too many cats to manage. She is now looking for her chance at the fur-ever family. Pegasus would likely do well in a home with other animals, particularly another cat or two, with proper, slow introductions. She can be nervous initially when she goes into a new environment and likes to have a safe place to hide and observe things from while she adjusts and becomes comfortable. She would probably do best in a bit of a quieter home without young children running around and is used to being indoor only. With a gentle hand, patience, and lots of love from her new guardian(s) she will certainly come out of her shell and her young, playful and curious side will win out. She loves cheek scratches and will soon be happily kneading under your hand. In the right environment Pegasus will soar into being the loving, sweet companion she is destined to be. Could you be the one to show Pegasus the kindness and love of a fur-ever home?If you are interested in adopting, apply in person during the animal centre visiting hours of 1-4pm Tues-Sat, or apply online at the link below.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Weight: 4.11 Age: 1yrs 6mths 3wks
