Story
Osiris, or Ozzy as we call her, was found in a ditch as a kitten when I was 17 about 4 years ago. She was originally going to be a foster, but I ended up keeping her because I was young and naive. She has been around other cats and dogs, but she gets high anxiety from being around them that makes her groom until her hair comes out. She is not spayed, but has seen a vet numerous times throughout the last 4 years as she is a ginger cat and loves to get herself in tricky situations. She is very cuddly and loves kisses on the head. She does have a tendency to run out of doors during the spring and fall, but stays inside when it gets very hot/cold and doesn’t try to escape. We are looking to rehome this cuddly girl, because we want her to enjoy a home where she isn’t so anxious and is able to have one-on-one care.

Story
Hi, my name is Freckles and I'm about 4 years old.  I was a stray and rescued by a BCHS volunteer, and brought to Bond County Humane Society to find a loving permanent home.  I live with another FIV positive cat at the shelter. I am playful and like to chase bouncy balls. I like to get to know you before I want to be petted.  Of course, this is all on my terms.  I determine when and how long you can pet me.  I love to explore and look in all the nooks and crannies around the shelter. I am considered Special Needs for a couple reasons.  First, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  FIV is comparable to AIDS in people. It is transmitted to other cats by scratching or biting. There is not a vaccine available to provide immunity to other cats so I need to be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV positive cats. I can have a normal life expectancy of a cat. The most important things for me are a low stress environment, good quality food and regular veterinarian care.  Second, I was also diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) which requires me to have a special diet.  It is extremely important for me to stay healthy.  I get along well with the other cat in the FIV room at the shelter.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee has been waived.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Mandarin and I'm about 11 months old. I was born to a stray mama cat and surrendered to Bond County Humane Society so I can find a loving furever home. I have been living in a foster home since I was 6 weeks old. I am a fine-looking orange tabby cat. I am smaller than my brothers, but I love to eat! Food is my favorite hobby. I love playing with my siblings and exploring things around the house. I am very curious and inquisitive. My foster mama says I am very smart. I like the cat tunnels a lot. I love to run up the tall cat tree and play around on the platform. I am not picky about my toys! I have really come to like the turbo scratcher though. I am also a mama's boy. I always go over for cuddles with my foster mama between playing spurts. I get my pets and then go back to playing again. I am a loving and joyful kitty. I am available for immediate adoption. I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $150.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.February 3, 2026, 2:48 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Finnegan and I'm about 11 months old. I was born to a stray mama cat and surrendered to Bond County Humane Society so I can find a loving furever home. I have been living in a foster home since I was 6 weeks old. My foster mom says I'm the special one in my litter! I'm the only long-haired one, and I'm a very attractive buff color. My name means "fair-haired" in Irish. My foster mom thinks I will have very long hair and maybe a mane as I grow up.  Right now I'm starting to become fluffier. I like running around, more than just playing with toys. I run up the tall cat tree like a professional. I zoom around the kitchen and hallway. I run through the different tunnels. My favorite spot is on the floor right in front of the refrigerator. I like to be cuddled when I'm tired. I talk all the time, with lots of little chirps, when I am tired, hungry, wanting attention, playing, or bored! I'm the only one of my litter who actually meows .
