Story
Scathach is all personality. I found her and her sister abandoned in our backyard one day as kittens. The local shelter refused to take them, so they came back home with me. Her and her sister were raised with two dogs. They have been spayed. Shots are up to date. I would have to describe Scathach as a bonded pair with her sister. They have separation anxiety without being able to access each other. They could care less about whether I am there or not! Scath does NOT get along well with low energy cats. Same goes for kids Dogs are a love/hate relationship, but possible. Currently, we co-habit with a roommate who has a third cat. We tried for two months to build rapport with all the cats, but the third cat is much older and low energy. My roommate and myself also have accrued too many work and family obligations to adequately care for high-energy cats. I have come to the difficult decision to find a new home for the girls, because they deserve more then I can give them anymore.

Story
Hi, my name is Sandy and I'm about 7 years old. One of the Bond County Humane Society volunteers found me along the interstate looking emaciated, dehydrated, and covered in ticks. I was so small she thought I was a kitten. When I was examined by the veterinarian it turned out that my teeth were not in good shape, so they have all been removed. I can eat as well as ever.  I am on a special diet of hypoallergenic food because I was having a reaction to my regular cat food.  I am cautious with new people, but then I will warm up and enjoy being held. I like to watch the other cats in my community room but I am cautious about interacting with them.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is by donation.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Raven is a beautiful long-haired kitty who came to us on 10/25 because her owner passed away. She is dreaming of being in a loving home again. Raven will look better with more brushing, but we couldn't wait to get her posted so everyone can learn about her. She is THE friendliest little girl and has THE softest fur you'll ever touch. Raven can be held and is great with other kitties in Kitty.City. In fact, she lived with several cats and an older small dog, so if that fits your bill, please come meet this beauty. She's definitely worth her weight in gold! ........... Please come meet this sweet soul soon! (We keep our posts up-to-date.) We do ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, on a first-come/first serve basis. The EASIEST and QUICKEST way to make an appointment is to click the blue "Book Now" button at the top of our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/maccoanimalcontrol. If there is a pet you really want, we highly recommend making an appointment as early and soon as possible, since we generally are first-come, first-serve. Be sure and write this pet’s name in the note section of the form, so we know who you want to see. No need to email us prior to making an appointment, unless you have a specific question. If you are not on FaceBook, tell us that when you fill out the form on this page or email us. Appointments are available: Mon., Wed, Thurs.~ 10am-2:30pm Fri. & Sat.~ 8:30-Noon ***NOTE: Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip and vaccines; all required before adoptions are finalized. Story
Merlin is a handsome and friendly 6-year-old longhair black cat. He has FIV, which means he has a weaker immune system than most cats. FIV cats can live a long, happy life, but should not go to a home with FIV-negative cats. If you are interested in meeting/adopting him, fill out an application at apl-shelter.org (for adopting) or come meet him in person at the Animal Protective League, 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. The APL is open every day from noon to 5 p.m.
