Story
Luna is the sweetest girl. She is purring before you even touch her. She is a year and a half old. She does amazing with other dogs and cats. She has only been around a small dog so I am unsure how she does around bigger dogs. She is litter trained. She is extremely playful and would love someone she can play with. I am looking to find her a loving home!!!

Story
Unfortunately we are needing to rehome our 2 year old kitty, Rosie. We have had her since she was 3 months old. She is a very sweet cat who only wants cuddles and pets. She does need a home without *young* children (5+) as that is why she needs to be rehomed. She does very well with our golden retriever and 5 year old, but not so much our 1 year old. She is an indoor kitty, and does not like being outside. She is also polydactyl (she has thumbs).

Story
Meet Titania 🧚‍♀️🐾Named after the Queen of the Fairies, Titania carries herself with a quiet confidence and gentle charm that makes it easy to see how she earned such a regal name. She tested positive for FIV, but she is otherwise very healthy and expected to live a long, happy life. FIV is often misunderstood. It is not an immediate death sentence and is primarily spread through deep bite wounds. Cats with FIV can live peacefully alongside non-FIV cats as long as everyone gets along, and Titania has shown us just that. She does wonderfully with the other cats in our cat room.Titania is friendly, curious, and an absolute sweetheart. She enjoys companionship but also appreciates a calm environment where she can fully relax. Because young children tend to overwhelm her, Titania would do best in a home without them. Older, laidback children that respect her space and need for quiet retreat would be fine. When things get too busy, she prefers to quietly retreat and observe from a safe, cozy spot. For someone looking for a gentle, loving companion with a soft spirit, Titania is the kind of cat who will weave herself into your daily life in the most comforting way. She’s ready for a peaceful home where her royal heart can truly settle in.Her adoption fee is $75 and this includes her spay, vaccines, FIV/FeLV testing, and a microchip that we register for you. Story
If you’ve ever wanted to bring home a little gallery of personalities… allow us to introduce Matisse and her masterpieces 🎨Matisse is a stunning medium-haired calico who has done an incredible job raising her four tiny works of art in a foster home. Because of that, these kittens have had a strong, loving start and are already developing their own little styles, quirks, and signatures. Now let’s meet the collection:🎨 Muse (female, longhair dilute calico) – the quiet observer. She takes it all in from the sidelines, studying the world before she steps into it. Soft, thoughtful, and a little mysterious.🎨 Graffiti (female, short hair calico) – bold, bright, and impossible to ignore. She’s the first to explore, the first to play, and the one leading the charge into every new adventure.🎨 Mona Lisa (female, longhair orange & white)– a classic beauty with a not-so-subtle opinion about everything. She’s got that signature ginger attitude and isn’t afraid to use it.🎨 Easel (male, gray & white short hair) – the snuggle specialist. If there’s a lap, a blanket, or a cozy corner… he’s already there, ready to melt into it.These kittens are around 8–10 weeks old and have been raised in a foster home, which means they’re used to a home environment and human interaction. And while each one is wonderful on their own, kittens truly thrive in pairs. They entertain each other, burn off energy together, and learn important social skills like bite inhibition and boundaries. When kittens grow up alone, they can sometimes develop what’s called single kitten syndrome—which can show up as excessive biting, rough play, boredom, or attention-seeking behaviors. Having a buddy helps them grow into more confident, well-adjusted cats (and honestly… it’s double the entertainment). For this reason, priority will be given to the approved applicants that want more than one kitten. Matisse herself is also looking for a home—she’s done raising her babies and is ready to be appreciated as the masterpiece she is.Adoption Details:-Adult cats: $75-Kittens: $90 each or $150 for a pairIncludes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea/tick prevention, FIV/FeLV testing, and a microchip registered by our shelter. If you’re ready to add a little color, character, and creativity to your home, you can apply at:EffinghamCountyHumaneSociety.orgBecause every home could use a little more art… and a lot more purring. 🎨🐾
