You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Handsome Norman is a favorite among his human friends and ready for a beautiful life!  How such a cat came to be on his own, we have no idea, but we find all kinds.  It is typical for cats to take some time to adjust to new situations, but after a short while, Norman found himself strolling the adoption floor comfortable and happy.  (It probably helped that his people were so enthusiastic about offering him extra love!)  He is a fairly chill cat, but that doesn't mean he isn't up for a play session if engaged!  He likes to cuddle and love, and is always trying to get to his humans.  Norman had a bad URI when we found him, and his eyes have a unique look at the time because we are treating an eyelid condition.  They are doing much better than they were!!  Norman does not act for one second like he's uncomfortable, feels sorry for himself, or even knows he looks different, which he barely does.  He can see just fine.  What he sees is that cats are nice friends and people are perfect for loving and being loved!!  What more could you ask for in a pet than that?  Applying to meet Norman does not obligate you to adopt, but he is worth knowing.     Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!    If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.     We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.    Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! Love and time and treats let him see people can be kind!  He is now the leader of my foster cats at playing and he loves to lay on a bed close to his human. He is a sleek, shadowy figure, a midnight panther in miniature. His fur is the deepest black, absorbing all light, making his form blend into the shadows.  When he lays in his bed In certain angles, a hidden sheen of charcoal or deep violet might catch the light, hinting at the richness of his coat. His eyes are piercing gold, and they stand out like luminous jewels against the darkness of his face, watching the world with an air of mystery and quiet observation. And he loves to play and jumping toys are his favorites. Every leap, every wiggle, and every playful bite is a lesson in being a cat, a joyful and clumsy dance of discovery . He likes Catnip and other cats and adores treats! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rusty has grown up with us!  He loves people, toys, playing, and can hold his own when it comes to roughhousing thanks to his sister putting him through the paces when they were little.  He is the kind of cat who will go absolutely crazy for any little thing he finds—a pellet of litter, a stray piece of food, and of course even the simplest toys like plastic springs.  He is easy to entertain and grateful for what he has!  Rusty would probably prefer to have a playmate at home because he loves fun so much, but he is getting to the age where a single adoption is a possibility.  He also loves people and would be a great companion!  He is very friendly and outgoing, and always reaching out for people walking by.  One thing he tends to particularly enjoy is his hammock, so you may want to invest in some vertical space for him!  Apply to meet Rusty and see if he could finally find a home with you. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.looks and charm, the full package!Meet a true "shadow-dweller" of the feline world—a cat whose substantial, sturdy build is entirely mismatched with his sweet, sensitive, and deeply playful soul.   The Look: Big Frame, Bigger Eyes:  At first glance, Murphy commands attention with a large, solid body, heavy paws, and a broad chest. But any intimidating presence instantly vanishes the moment you look at his face. His expressive, round eyes function like a window to his thoughts.   When something catches his attention, those eyes dilate into giant, dark saucers of pure curiosity. Whether they are tracking a sunbeam or watching you open a cabinet, his gaze communicates everything from intense focus to absolute adoration without making a sound.   Personality & Play Style:  Despite having a big body, Murphy moves with a lighthearted, almost goofy energy when it's time to play. He isn’t aloof; he wants to be right in the middle of whatever you are doing.   The Curious Investigator: Every delivery box, open closet, or rustling paper bag requires a thorough inspection.  Murphy approaches the world with an open, friendly inquisitiveness.   The Sassy Acrobat:  Murphy loves interactive games—chasing feather wands, fetching favorite toys, or doing the classic "sideways crab walk" when he gets excited. He might also practice his  mischievous ways, like batting a pen off a desk just to see it fall. Watching a large, substantial black cat leap into the air for a toy with total joy (and perhaps a little dramatic flair) is pure entertainment.    The Sweet Companion: When playtime ends, Murphy’s sweet nature takes over. He is the kind of cat that leans their heavy body against your leg, follows you from room to room just to be near, and uses those massive, melting eyes to gently ask for chin scratches.    The Perfect Balance: Murphy offers the best of both worlds—the robust, striking presence of a big-bodied feline with black gleaming fur, combined with the gentle, playfully mischievous heart of a lifelong kitten. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Katherine the great!Katherine is an assertive young lady who knows her own mind.  She likes to see other cats outside, but she does not want to personally meet them. . . and maybe she is wise to feel that way!  Katherine was declawed on all four paws, and this often leads to behavioral issues, as cats like Katherine don't have a typical mild defense and must resort to biting if they really feel endangered.  Because of this vulnerability, Katherine also does not want to be in a home with small children.  We are a no-declaw group because we see how the practice leads to this type of harm and trauma, but we do not turn away cats who are already declawed if they need our help. It is not such a bad thing to know what you want in life, and to let others know your feelings if you are displeased.  This is a quality we may praise in people but denigrate in cats.  We believe there is a place in the world for a cat like Katherine, someone who simply speaks her mind.  She has been through amputation, she has been through cohabitation with beings who took her at her disadvantage, and she has been through rehoming.  She simply wants peace and acceptance!  She has a world of love to give in return to the person who finally gives her a place to be herself.  Could it be you?   Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!    If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.     We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.    Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt!
