Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Damar is a curious young man, full of fun!  He brightens the home of his loving foster every day.  Damar has grown up with his foster parents, and with his sister Kes by his side.  These two siblings need a chance at a forever home together!  They rely on each other for comfort and stability, though Damar is the more outgoing of the two.  These kitties feel comfortable with their foster parents, will gratefully accept pets with purrs, and are even allowing patient guests to socialize with them.  They just need security!  Kitties like this often form the deepest bonds with their adopters, because they know this is the person they can truly trust with everything.  Would you give Damar and Kes a chance to bond with you?   Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!   If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.    We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.   Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.   All CATsNAP cats and kittens are:  Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus  Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age) Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)  Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions Micro-chipping as mandated by state law Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2025, 12:12 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Carol is a young girl who just needs security and love.  She has become very comfortable in a shelter setting!  Carol watched two “fancier” sisters be adopted before her, but she doesn’t let it get her down.  She gets along well with other cats, and she befriends all the kitties she knows.  Tabbies are typically very social!  Carol would love the chance to show that off in a home of her own.  She will not lose heart… she knows her people are out there!  Could it be you?     Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!    If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.     We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.    Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meadow is a very special soul.  She had her babies with us, and she has raised them well.  Some of our cats have trauma from frightening things they may have seen or experienced before being rescued, and Meadow can startle a bit easily.  However, while such cats are often fairly shy, Meadow really is not.  After a very brief (a second) assessment of who you are, she is quite affectionate.  She loves to rub her face into hands!  Her life has been a bit unpredictable, from outdoor conditions, moving through different sectors of the rescue, etc., but once she has a home and a family that she knows, she will doubtless open up even more. Meadow does test positive for FIV.  This retrovirus just means a lower immune system, and cats with it can have the same average lifespan as cats without it.  Her babies test negative, and the virus is not easily spread--mainly through deep bite wounds, and in females, usually during mating.  We cannot envision Meadow ever biting another cat to pass the virus.  All she needs is good food, an indoor home, and quality wellness care, the same as any other Catsnap cat!  Would you be interested in adding a gentle, beautiful Meadow to your life?   Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!    If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.     We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.    Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We are posting Roxy for the people who found her and kindly took her in.  They adore Roxy, but because they could not make peace between Roxy and their pre-existing cat, they feel it's in the best interest of all to find a good home for Roxy!  Roxy does well at our building with other cats, so it seems like it was just a personality clash.  These girls were both strays and may have felt insecure about resources.  This is the finder's description of Roxy!   Around Christmas 2024 a thin skittish black cat, apparently a stray, was living under our sun porch. We gave her food but initially we could not approach her. We live-trapped her and moved her into a room in our basement, where she was soon rubbing our legs, talking to us, and soliciting pets. We felt we should try to find this special cat’s previous home. We advertised and knocked on doors without success. In the process of trying to return this cat to her home, we learned that a black cat had been living as a stray in the neighborhood.   We named this cat Roxy. We have found her to be affectionate, intelligent, playful, and quite vocal. She loves treats but does not like to have her tummy rubbed. She loves being petted but is not yet a lap cat. She is still somewhat skeptical of new humans, probably a result of having lived as a stray. She has shiny black fur, black whiskers, black nose, black toe beans, golden yellow eyes, and is quite tall. A web search revealed she is probably a fancy breed known as “Bombay.” She has two small patches of white hair on her chest and belly. She seems to be quite young, so these may also become black. In January a veterinarian examined Roxy and found her to be spayed and healthy. She was given shots and a chip.
