Story
Hi, I'm Dobby — a spunky grey kitten with adorable white socks and a couple of brothers named Deek and Kreacher. If you're a HP fan, you probably noticed we are named after house elves! I am ready to bring adventure and affection into your home. I'm mischievous and loyal, which means I'll keep you entertained while stealing your heart - and maybe your socks - at every turn. I'm the perfect pint-sized companion for cuddles and playtime. Come meet me and my brothers and let's start our adventures together! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at freeborncohumanesociety@gmail.com, send us a message on Facebook, or call or text 507-377-8501.

Story
Say hello to Laurel, he and his brothers were found inside a tree stump in Glenville and then they went to live with their foster family. Laurel's foster mom says that he is the smallest of the group, but like his big brother, Hemlock, he is always where the action is. Laurel has a very inquisitive nature about him and is always so excited to play with his brothers - and toys of any kind. Laurel also enjoys lap time and cuddles. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Festus and his siblings were brought in because they were an accidental litter, so we spayed their mom and welcomed them in. Born July 2025, we named this group after the old TV show Gunsmoke. These sweet boys (and one girl named Miss Kitty) all love to play and are very friendly and curious. They would fit into any loving home. Festus (and his siblings) would really love to find a family of their own! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee.
