Story
Biggums is a female Domestic Shorthair and Tortie mixed kitty. Ready for a science lesson? There are two scientific possibilities for how Biggums got her cute split face: One is formed from the fusion of two separate embryos in the early stages of pregnancy, resulting in one cat with two distinct sets of DNA, called a Chimera Cat. This rare genetic occurrence often leads to a striking split-faced appearance with two different fur colors and sometimes mismatched eye colors. The other results from early, random x-chromosome inactivation during development, which causes different fur color genes (orange or black) to express on opposite sides of the face. It's kind of like embryo origami, and is called a Mosaic Cat. The good thing is, it’s only fur, and is not indicative of any developmental problems with her health. While we can't know for sure which version Biggums is without a DNA test, we know she's adorable and ready for a home. She is described as a 'Love Bug'. Do you seek affection? I do! If you also like petting, purrs, and paws kneading your lap, I think we might have a LOT in common. I'm looking for "someone who enjoys quiet times and togetherness." Could that someone be you? It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction. All our animals have been spayed/neutered (or will be arranged if currently too young). Dogs will be tested for heart worms, vaccinated against distemper/parvo and rabies. Cats will be vaccinated against feline distemper and feline parvo, and have been wormed. All animals will be bathed and treated for fleas/ear mites. Microchipping will take place at the time of adoption. Adoption fees: Cats - $105 for one or only $150 for two! Dogs - $155 For more information on this animal contact washingtonpawsandmore1978@gmail.com or call 319-653-6713. Story
Olive (2 years old) is a loving cat who truly craves attention, and we worry that we are not fully able to meet her needs - especially with a baby on the way and increased work travel requirements. She gets along well with our dog and is up to date on all of her vaccinations. We are hoping there may be an individual or family who would be a better fit and can give her the time and attention she deserves. She is a wonderful cat, and it will be very hard for us to part ways, but we truly feel this is what's best for her if we can find the right home.

Story
Benny is a shy but very loving kitty who just needs a little time to feel safe. Once he gets comfortable, his sweet personality really shines through. He enjoys gentle attention and has a soft spot for kindness and patience. Benny didn't get the chance to be introduced to other pets properly in the past, so he'll need very slow, thoughtful introductions if there are other animals in the home. Because of this, he would do best in a calm, quiet environment where he can settle in at his own pace. Benny's neuter has been donated by Family Pet at Perry Creek. Thank you!$75.00 Fee includes initial vaccines, worming, microchip with registration, and free vet health exam. This pet has been fed Royal Canin cat food, donated to us by Royal Canin. Primary Color: Grey Tabby Weight: 9 Age: 1yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
AC is a beautiful 4-month-old torbie kitten with a big personality to match her beautiful coat. She's very outgoing and loves meeting new people-if you visit her, you'll likely hear her purring almost immediately! AC enjoys attention and happily soaks up affection from anyone willing to give it.Playtime is one of her favorite parts of the day, especially when a fishing pole cat toy is involved. She loves to chase, pounce, and leap after it like a tiny hunter. When she's not playing, she's content relaxing nearby and enjoying the company of her people.AC also enjoys scratching on her scratching posts, which keeps her busy and helps her practice good kitten habits. Because she's still young, she should adjust well to a home with other cats, respectful kids, or even cat-friendly dogs.$75 Fee includes initial vaccines, worming, microchip with registration, and free vet health exam. This pet has been fed Royal Canin cat food, donated to us by Royal Canin. Primary Color: Torbie Weight: 5.25 Age: 0yrs 4mths 0wks
