Story
Cassie is a complicated girl and will need a patient home to help her thrive. She was found outside as a "wild" kitten and brought inside. After almost a year, her person had to move and wasn't able to take Cassie. She is friendly but has retained some of the independence that she learned on the streets. She prefers to give love on her terms. She's good for pets and will cozy up on a lap but mostly she likes to observe her surroundings from a comfortable perch. She dislikes being picked up and having her nails trimmed. Cassie does good with other calm cats that respect her boundaries. She has never seen a dog and reacts with fear; same for young children. She will run and hide when afraid and will hiss and swat if pushed too far. Her ideal home will be routine and quiet and without dogs or young kids. Cassie is a beauty with sass. She is approximately 1 year old, vaccinated and spayed. If you can give Cassie the home she desires, please fill out the adoption application and a volunteer will contact you for a meet-n-greet.

Story
We got Astrid a couple of months ago from a guy who was moving and no longer able to have him, since then he has been a loving cat but unfortunately our dogs try to eat him and he does not like our 10 month old son so it has been hard on him and us. We thought maybe he would grow out of it and our dogs would adjust but that has not been the case unfortunately so we are looking to rehome him. He was originally a rescue and we do have paper work for him. Please reach out if you are interested!

Story
Pepsi NKA Ivy came to AHeinz57 as a pregnant stray. During her months here she never became social and was moved to our barn cat program, where she was provided a barn home with food, water, shelter, vet care and kitty friends. Apparently she missed home as she took off and was found three months later in the area she was originally caught. She was hungry, matted and flea ridden. After a few weeks at a foster home she became a total love bug, sticking to her foster mom like Velcro and showing no desire to go back outside.Ivy is still initially shy with new people but her eventual over-the-top affection and devotion is worth the wait!If you are interested in meeting Ivy, the first step in our process is to fill out an adoption application. Not good with dogs,
Story
Spot is the epitome of a classic cat: affectionate, but when she feels like it, and a true master of the If it fits, I sits approach to life. Boxes, her foster mom said of Spots favorite thing in the world. Spot loves her box to hide in. And when shes not lounging like a feline pro? She may be soaking up attention from her people, or content to have some alone time, as is the classic cat prerogative. Shes sweet but social on her own terms. She would thrive in a quiet home with plenty of patience to let her warm up on her own. Ready for this special girl to be your sweet Spot? Story
This beautiful girl has no shortage of mews and an endless capacity for affection! She lives up to her name, Chatty Cathy, says her foster dad. She likes to talk to you to get your attention. Although shes outgoing and would do well in nearly any loving home her adopter should plan to give her a couple days to settle in. She would do great just about anywhere, but she may need to have a couple of days to get her bearings and show her true personality. And when that happens? Let the love fest begin! Cathy is always looking for the next person to give her pets. Will that be you? Please visit our website at www.whiskerstnr.org to learn more about this amazing cat and to see other available cats.
