Story
ABOUT MONICA! Meet Monica, our beautiful six-year-old girl! This little lady came to HAP as a stray momma. All her babies have found their homes, and now it's Monica's turn! Monica spent a little bit of time in a foster home during our Stanton renovation, and here's what her foster family had to say about her: "Monica currently doesn't live with any other animals, but loves every person who comes into our home. She is a huge snuggle bug and loves pets. She has random crazy spurts of energy and will do zoomies around the house, then come crawl in your lap when she's worn out. I've never met a cat with so much personality, she's such a loving little goofball. I love that she will do her own thing when I'm working from home and doesn't scream for attention, but will also come snuggle on the couch at the end of the night. I've found she prefers to snuggle when you have a blanket on top of you. One of my favorite things about her is when you put your face right up to hers, she'll rub up against your face and give you forehead licks. She also sticks her tongue out at you sometimes. I truly can't say enough great things about her!" *Monica is seeking a home as your only cat. Monica would likely do okay with a calm dog and children who can respect her boundaries! **Monica has been diagnosed with very early-stage kidney disease. While this can shorten her lifespan, we have no reason to believe she doesn't have many, many more years left in her! She is currently being treated with a special diet and managed by yearly vet visits. If you are interested in adopting Monica, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
This new friend has just arrived! They have come to us either as a transfer from another shelter, being found as a stray, or have been surrendered to us by their owner. When our friends are new to us, we are typically unsure of their full background, litter box habits, comfort with handling, or experience with other pets or children. Our staff will spend some time reviewing any information provided by previous owners and spend some time with our new friend so that we can better update their biography. Story
ABOUT PIXIE! Meet Pixie, our sweet three-year-old calico lady! This beauty was brought to HAP from a high-intake shelter. She was heavily pregnant, so we sent her straight to one of our rockstar foster, who made sure she had a safe and cozy place to give birth. She's been an amazing mother, but now it's time for her to find a forever home where she can live it up! Pixie is a super sweet girl, her favorite thing in the world is to get some snuggles! She enjoys curling up in a sunny spot to get a quick snooze in, almost as much as she enjoys a treat! She isn't the biggest player, she's definitely more of a lover girl, but she's been known to bat a toy mouse around. **Pixie is not a fan of other cats. But we also think she'd do well with a calm dog and children. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. ABOUT GEMA! Meet Gema, our beautiful five-year-old grey tabby girl! This pretty girl came to HAP with her four babies. The babies were all old enough to be weaned and so Gema is ready to find her forever home, free of babies! Gema is very loving and has no problem letting you know when she wants some attention! She also loves to look out the windows, she's a nosy girl. While she isn't much of a player yet, she seems interested in toys! **Gema does okay with other cats, though we do recommend calm kitties that match her low energy vibe. We think she'd do well with children. We aren't sure how she'd do with dogs.
