-Onyx was originally adopted from us as a kitten with his brother Knox. Four years later he was returned to us because he was being bullied by the other cats in the home. Per his foster: “ Onyx is a very shy, sensitive boy who will need a patient home willing to give him time to feel safe. He warms up slowly, but with consistency, kindness, and a few Temptations treats, he truly blossoms. Once he trusts you, Onyx is incredibly sweet. He loves being petted, makes the cutest muffins (including “air muffins”), and will eventually curl up on your lap and even allow you to pick him up.
Onyx would do best in a quiet home (loud noises scare him, but he’s getting used to them) and would likely enjoy the company of another calm, laid-back adult cat who likes companionship but also respects personal space. He tolerates brushing, enjoys gentle affection, and will reward your patience with deep, loyal love.
If you’re looking for a soft, tender-hearted kitty and have the time to let him come out of his shell at his own pace, Onyx could be the perfect match.”
He is neutered, negative for Felv/FIV, FVRCP and rabies vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and on flea prevention. He will be adopted to an indoor only home and the adopter will sign a contract that he cannot be declawed.
