Story
Meet Gravy! This handsome little guy was raised as a bottle baby, so he’s extra affectionate and absolutely adores people. Gravy is a snuggler through and through — he’ll happily curl up on your lap after a good play session. When he’s not chasing toys or zooming around the room, you’ll find him looking for love and attention from his favorite humans.Gravy is brave and curious around other animals, but like any kitten, he’ll do best with slow, gentle introductions to new furry friends. He’s also a total foodie — he loves his snacks and has always been a great eater! If you’re looking for a kitten who’s playful, loving, and ready to be your best buddy, Gravy is your guy.

Story
Winnie is a super affectionate dark grey tabby female with a load of love to give.  She loves to rub on her human and just about anything else around.  She was adopted from PAWS back in 2019 and was returned by her owner in April when he could no longer care for her.  She also came back to PAWS'OK with her cat roomie, Tessa, in tow.  She is a talker and likes to tell you hare opinion on everything - especially if dinner is late! PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008.  All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home.  We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes.  Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age.  A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.   If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK  for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form.  Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days.  If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.  If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation.  Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens.  If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.   July 8, 2025, 1:55 pm

Story
Meet Kenny!  I am a tough guy and a timid guy both rolled into one cat.  I am the result of my mom getting out of the house through a window and the neighborhood toms taking advantage.  She was a purebred and as a result, she was surrendered to PAWS when her owner confirmed she was pregnant (with half breeds).  I am very warry of new people and have a tendency to hide when anyone is looking for me.  I will get along with other cats as long as they don't let me boss them around (I am a rather stout guy).  I love to eat and look forward to having a home of my own with people who will care for me forever! Story
My name is Velvet because of my beautiful shiny coat!  My sister, Venus, and I were surrendered to PAWS-OK with 3 other cats by a cat-loving couple who were being threatened with eviction because there were "too many cats". Honestly we five and five others (that PAWS-OK helped get spayed and neutered, is a bit much for a small 1 bedroom apartment!  I brought a surprise with me to my foster mom - RINGWORM!  All five of us had to be treated with some good tasting medicine and now I am so pretty, all my beautiful fur has grown back.  I am known as the 'social butterfly" of my group and love people and cats too.  A home with another friendly cat or two would suit me just fine! Story
My name is Whinnie and I am one of six kittens raised in a PAWS-OK Foster home.  Our mom, Wendy, was pregnant when she was rescued by a lovely couple.  I am probably the shyest of all of us, but then again it's hard to get seen with so much action going on by my siblings.  I would prefer a quieter home with lots of attention and a lap or two to make me feel safe. October 11, 2025, 12:05 pm

Story
My name is Sweep.  Kind of a strange name but you will understand in a minute... My mom was giving birth to us when we were swept into the loving arms of a PAWS-OK volunteer in September 2024.  My four siblings and mom were loaded and taken to their new foster home to be raised by our mom, Sweetie (who has since found a home).  A few hours after they got there, the people at the home where they were picked up found me... stuck by my afterbirth in a BROOM!  I was reunited with my mom and siblings a short time later (minus the broom).  WE are are all pretty well behaved for kittens who love to run and play, that is, but I can be a little trouble maker sometimes (imprinted from the broom experience, maybe). July 10, 2025, 5:16 pm
