Story
Zoe was rehomed by us when her original owner moved away four years ago. She is now 7 and has a deep meow when she talks. Gets along with our other dogs, cats and children just fine. She has been living outside and is content to do so, and stays around the house, however with winter coming, this wont be feasible for her. she does have a small growth on the side of her neck which is not infected and doesnt seem to bother her (its been checked by our vet and they werent concerned with it). She enjoys being petted, but doesnt like to be held for too long, and doesnt like being in enclosed small spaces.

Story
**I am in FOSTER** Please contact the Midland SPCA to book an appointment to meet me!Thora is a beautiful 7-year-old domestic short hair looking for a loving forever home. After the passing of her owner, Thora found herself in our care. When she first arrived, she was understandably fearful and anxious, seeming wary of sudden movements and unfamiliar sounds. Wanting to better understand what she was experiencing, we arranged a veterinary assessment and placed her in one of our wonderful foster homes while we searched for answers. It was determined that Thora has Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), a genetic condition that causes gradual vision loss. While there is no cure, PRA is not painful, and cats are often remarkably adaptable as their vision changes.Since settling into foster care, Thora has truly blossomed. She has become a sweet, affectionate companion who loves being petted, curling up beside her people on the couch, and soaking up attention. She has even begun seeking out toys and entertaining herself, showing just how resilient and adaptable she is.Thora's foster family is only able to care for her for a few more weeks before she must return to the Centre. We would love to find her a permanent home before then.Thora is looking for a patient and loving family who can provide her with a stable, consistent environment as she continues to navigate life with limited vision. In return, she will reward you with endless affection, companionship, and gratitude.Could you be the forever home Thora has been waiting for? ❤️🐱If you're interested in meeting Thora, please contact us to set up a meet and greet at 705-534-4459 ext 6 (phones open 11-6 daily) or send us an email midland@ontariospca.ca.
