Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 8/9/2022 Reason for being in rescue: stray Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Dream is spayed, up to date on vaccines and FIV negative. Weight: 2.8 lbs and growing Height: 6 in and growing Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $99 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Dream would do great in just about any home, as long as they don’t mind her crazy kitten ways. She likes having a playmate(s) since she is a kitten. She doesn’t care if they are other cats, dogs, or even human children, just as long as they play with her as much as she demands. What is my personality like? Dream is the perfect name for this sweet laid-back kitten. She enjoys spending her days laying by the window, drenched in the sun, daydreaming. When she isn’t lost in the clouds, she enjoys watching the wildlife through her window or getting backrubs from her favorite human. How do I act when I first meet new people? Dream loves everyone she meets. We doubt she will ever meet a stranger, human or furry. Other tips and tidbits: Dream came to us as a stray. Her best estimated birthday is 4/24/2022. House trained? Dream is litter box trained. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. April 30, 2024, 2:11 pm

Mello is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and FIV negative. Weight: 10 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $99 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? For this orange and white Mello cat any home would work. However, this friendly dude is an INDOOR ONLY cat. If he's inside Mello is cool. He lives indoors here with two other cats, and he enjoys their company and play time with them. So, another cat in the house would most likely work for him. Mello would fit splendidly into an apartment home. Provide him with some toys if you must leave him ad he'll do fine. Mello would do wonderfully in a home with children who would love on him and play with him. What is my personality like? Mello is totally chill yet friendly, playful and affectionate as well. Mellow is a superb name for this guy. Nothing seems to ruffle his fur. He's good with cats and dogs, but a human lap to lounge in would be perfect for him. If you can't use your lap you will probably find him on a couch, chair, or rocking chair soaking up the sun and catching some zzzz's. He plays well with the other cats here and we are sure he will be a playful companion with his adopter. Mello will at times, lick you like a dog does which is kind of weird feeling that rough tongue go over your skin. Also, don't be surprised if he uses the legs of jeans as a scratching post. Tip to this laid-back yet affectionate guy's adopter, a scratching post or pad is a necessity. He will meow at you when he wants your attention if you are ignoring him. How do I act when I first meet new people? Many cats are aloof and standoffish. Not Mello. He will approach you for pets and ear rubs.  Other tips and tidbits: Mello was found as a stray so we have absolutely no history on this wonderful boy. Based on his overall health and condition we celebrate his birthday 06/26/2022. House trained? Mello is litter box trained. Story
Chief was born in the spring of 2019 and has grown into an 11 pound big boy. He is super affectionate and loves nothing better than snuggling. He gets along well with other confident cats, but can be a bit of a tease to shyer kitties. He does have a best buddy in foster care and they are all about the play. He also has an autoimmune disorder known as stomatitis. All of his teeth have been surgically removed to prevent the oral inflammation it causes and since that time, he has had no further issues with it. He enjoys both canned and dry foods, but does better with a food for sensitive tummies. He can seriously make a toy out of anything. He has been neutered, microchipped & is up to date on vaccinations.

Story
Meet Stanley....this handsome guy showed up at his foster home and clearly had no intention of leaving. He’s about 3 years old (as of 5/21) and is so sweet and social. He had obviously been living outdoors, fending for himself but has happily adapted to getting fed twice a day. His foster mom has been working trying to adapt him to indoor living and has made strides...he loves to be in on cold rainy days and does come in every night, but he still wants to go out and is very vocal about it. He does not go far and could be an indoor/outdoor cat depending on the area. Stanley is fixed and current on vaccinations. He does fine with dogs and has made friends with the other cats...however, that took a little time. He would be a great companion and would love a forever home.. .

Story
Clara is a sweet, sweet baby girl. Born in October 2021, she is soft, quiet, calm, patient and did I mention, sweet? She patiently waits for dinner with one paw on her foster mom’s foot and often reaches up to be pet. She is warming up to being held. She has clinger potential for the right person. She is a little nervous, but very loving.
