Meet Sammy, an 8-month-old Domestic Short-haired Cat with a rescue story worthy of a movie. Last fall, Sammy was spotted in the parking lot of Sam's Club, bravely dodging cars while searching for scraps of food. After a suspenseful showdown, he was finally captured using the ultimate secret weapon: a packet of Chick-fil-A sauce and one very determined rescuer. Sammy put up a good fight and almost made his getaway—but his foster mom wasn’t about to lose that battle. Fast forward to today: Sammy is fully vetted, living the good life indoors, and officially on the hunt for his forever family. This guy is playful, active, and quite the chatterbox. Every morning he and his foster dad have long, very important conversations to start the day. (Sammy has a lot of opinions.) He would absolutely love a kitty friend to wrestle and play with, but the current resident cat isn’t exactly impressed with his enthusiasm.
