Morticia is a beautiful 3-year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on May 20, 2023 along with her 3-month old kitten (Wednesday) and two one-year old male kitties (Gomez and Pugsley). Morticia has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers. This lovely mother kitty is understandably frightened being in a small cage when she enjoyed the freedom of her very own home for several years. Morticia and her kitten Wednesday are sharing a cage so that they may provide comfort/security for each other. Momma and baby dearly love each other. Morticia was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on May 24, 2023. she weighed 6 lbs that day. Morticia was spayed on May 30, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 6.04 lbs that day. Since Morticia has been spayed, she is ready to find a loving home either through adoption or rescue. Morticia and her kitten Wednesday are sharing a cage so that they may provide comfort/security for each other. Momma and baby dearly love each other. Morticia was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on May 24, 2023. She weighed 6 lbs that day. Morticia was spayed on May 30, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 6.04 lbs that day. These updated photos were taken on June 6, 2023, and we were happy to see that Morticia was beginning to relax and to trust that our HSOV kennel techs are her new best friends who love her unconditionally. Since Morticia has been spayed, she is ready to find a loving home either through adoption or rescue. Naturally we'd love for Morticia and Wednesday to find a home together. Onyx (Neutered) In Foster Care

Story

Onyx is a magnificent 2-year old male Siamese mix kitty who was found in Belpre Ohio and rescued by a compassionate woman who gave him a temporary home and offered to foster him until he could be adopted. Onyx has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a handsome chubby face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers. These photos of Onyx were taken on October 24, 2023 when his foster mother brought him to HSOV for us to meet him 'up close and personal'. Thanks to HSOV Volunteer/Board Member Tracy Moore for helping Onyx with his photo session. This was a new experience for Onyx, and he was obviously out of his comfort zone .. But he made the best of the situation and was quite friendly/congenial while we snapped several pictures. Onyx was quite content to relax in Tracy's arms for some close-up photos of his beautiful face (and he even agreed to wear a tiny purple/white/black plaid bow tie). His foster mother has had Onyx vetted, so he has been neutered and is up-to-date on vaccinations. Onyx is a big boy who currently weighs 12.7 lbs, so there is a lot of him to love. The other cats in his foster home haven't accepted Onyx into their circle of friends, so Onyx needs to find a permanent home of his own. Story

Cinnamon Twist is a beautiful 3-year old female kitty who was found on Second Street in Marietta Ohio on October 29, 2023 after she had been hit by an automobile. Fortunately for this sweet cat, a compassionate Good Samaritan acted quickly and brought her to HSOV and the safety of our shelter. Cinnamon Twist has an unusual combination of colors/patterns. She has a pretty face with gray/beige/white markings which are characteristic of a dilute calico kitty. She has a brown/bronze coat and a long ringed tail which is more characteristic of a Torbie/Tabby kitty. Our kind HSOV Kennel Techs gave Cinnamon preliminary first-aid care that afternoon/evening, and she was taken to one of wonderful local veterinarians the following day. X-rays showed that Cinnamon had suffered a fractured pelvis and had a broken femoral bone. She is back in our shelter where she will be resting comfortably with pain medications for the next two weeks. Hopefully she will be able to undergo surgery at a later date. We are posting this beautiful girl's pictures on Petfinder and Adoptapet as well as our HSOV Facebook pages in hopes that she has a loving family who is looking for her and will know she is safely in our shelter.

Imani is a sweet 4-year old female kitty who was surrendered to HSOV on October 31, 2023 because her owner had relocated/moved because of his employment and was unable to keep Imani. Imani has a black short smooth coat, a small patch of white on her chest, a long tail, and a beautiful face with large golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long whiskers. This little lady has a calm, quiet personality and was quite content to relax and 'look pretty' for the camera when these photos were taken on November 12, 2023. Imani is up-to-date on vaccinations and has already been spayed. She weighed 7.2 lbs on November 8, 2023. Imani has been front-paw declawed, so she would be required to be an exclusive indoor-only kitty. UPDATE: Imani was combo tested on November 22, 2023 and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Imani is looking for a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). Onyx is a handsome 2-year old male kitty who was surrendered by his owner on January 5, 2024 because the landlord would not allow Onyx to remain in the rental property. Onyx has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable chubby face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers. This sweet boy has a friendly, easygoing personality. Onyx chose to remain in his litterbox for his first photos on January 6th (hey, it's a cat thing) (smile). We look forward to taking more flattering pictures of this awesome kitty but wanted to let potential adopters/rescue groups know that he is in our shelter and will soon be looking for another good home. Onyx will be neutered in the near future. UPDATE: Onyx was neutered on February 20, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 10.7 lbs that day.
