Story
Taylor (aka Lily Anne) is a beautiful 3-year 9-month old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on February 5, 2026 because she was moving to an assisted-living residence and was unable to take Taylor to the new location. Taylor has a dark brown tabby shorthaired coat with orange highlights in a Torbie pattern, a long ringed tail, and an adorable chubby face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, a splash of white on her muzzle, and long white whiskers. This little sweetheart has a super-sweet, outgoing personality. Her mistress told us that Taylor is good with other cats and also with children. There weren't any dogs in the home, so we don't know how Taylor feels about canine friends. Taylor's previous owner indicated that she has been known to be a 'door dasher'. Taylor may look familiar to some of our HSOV Volunteers/Facebook followers since she was adopted from our shelter in August 2025. She had enjoyed the freedom of her very own home for the past six months and is sad to be back in a shelter cage, so we hope that Taylor will quickly find another loving home. Taylor has already been spayed and is up-to-date on vaccinations including rabies vaccine. She weighs approximately 9 lbs. These photos of Taylor were taken on March 20, 2026 while she was taking a catnap in one of the special cardboard boxes that local Girl Scouts donated for our shelter kitties during their Girl Scout cookie fundraiser. Taylor is currently in a double-wide cage in The Jungle Room where most our our adoptable cats are housed.

Story
Guac is a cute 6-month old female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on April 8, 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found her in the Waterford Ohio area. Guac was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. This little sweetheart has a gray tabby short-haired coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable kitten face with golden eyes, a gray velvet nose, a dusting of white on her muzzle, and long white whiskers. Guac has the sweetest, most lovable disposition and an outgoing, playful kitten personality. She is super friendly and gets along well with other cats/kittens as well as children. Guac was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on April 17, 2026. She weighed 3.8 lbs when she entered our shelter. Since she was not reclaimed, Guac will be spayed in the near future (tentatively in May 2026) and will be soon be ready to find a fabulous home.

Story
Milo is a handsome 7-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on April 2, 2026 along with his companions (Lizzie and Max) for a very sad reason ... Their owner (who had loved them very much) had passed away recently, and there wasn't anyone who could give them a home. This little guy has an orange tabby short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. Milo has a sweet disposition and a quiet, easygoing personality. He is good with other cats. Milo was neutered on April 6, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 7.36 lbs that day. Milo was given vaccinations, dewormer, and flea treatment on April 7, 2026. These photos of Milo were taken on April 4th~ and April 7th, 2026. You'll notice that another one of our awesome HSOV cats (Egg Whites) innocently photobombed Milo's pictures which were taken in the cat tower. Milo and Lizzie are currently sharing a large cat tower in the lobby/hallway of our shelter. Max is enjoying a double-wide cage in The Jungle Room. Milo would love to find another home with someone who would love him as much as his beloved mistress did.

Story
Peep is sweet 9-year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on November 22, 2025 because she was in need of medical attention. Peep has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and a beautiful face with hopeful trusting eyes, a splash of white on her muzzle/chin, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers. This senior kitty's name "Peep" may sound familiar to some of our HSOV volunteers/followers since she originally came to our shelter on March 1, 2022. Peep was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on March 1, 2022. She was also combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm. Peep weighed 6.8 lbs that day. We've noted on her intake procedures form that Peep is missing a few teeth, so we wish that we knew more about her past history. Peep was examined by a veterinarian on March 7, 2022 who verified that she has already been spayed. Peep was given rabies vaccine while at the clinic. She weighed 6.8 lbs that day. Peep was adopted March 13, 2022 but came back to our shelter on July 21, 2022. It seemed that the family's home was too active and stressful for Peep since there were several small children who frightened her ... And Peep always sought a quiet place away from the noise/activity. So Peep was again looking for a loving home. We were happy that Peep was adopted on October 8, 2022 and felt that she had found her forever .. But unfortunately Peep was returned on November 22, 2025 and was in need of medical attention. Peep was diagnosed with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and has responded/doing well with Predisone treatments. Peep was given updated vaccinations on December 11, 2025. Peep is not good with other cats or dogs, so she would likely do best as an 'only child/single cat' in a home. Peep is good with her human friends. She is ok with older children but young/small kids tend to make her nervous. These updated photos of Peep were taken on March 31, 2026. She is currently enjoying a double-wide cage in The Jungle Room where the majority of our adoptable cats are housed. This senior kitty would love to find her forever home. Peep is long past the silly, destructive kitten stage of her life and is looking for the perfect home to live her golden retirement years to the fullest. She would be very happy and content to be in a quiet home with soft blankets/beds and perhaps a sunny window to enjoy catnaps in the sunshine. We hope that the old saying "Third Time's A Charm" will hold true for Peep and that there is a compassionate guardian angel who will offer Peep her dream home~

Story
Mr. Hyde & Kitty Babe are a sweet pair of 8-year old best friends who were surrendered by their owner on December 26, 2025 through no fault of their own. Mr. Hyde (pictured on the left) has a brown short smooth coat in a spotted tabby pattern, a long ringed tail, and a handsome chubby face with pale golden eyes, a splash of white on his muzzle, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers. Mr. Hyde weighs 10.7 lbs. Kitty Babe (pictured on the right) has a dark brown short smooth coat in a marbled tabby pattern, a long tail, and a beautiful face with green/gold eyes, a cute white muzzle, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers. Kitty Babe weighs 9.2 lbs. Both of these magnificent cats are very shy but also very sweet. Mr Hyde is the more shy of the pair and responds to a gentle touch. Kitty Babe has a very affectionate personality and loves to snuggle under blankets. Their owner reported that they were good with other animals and also with children. Mr. Hyde and Kitty Babe have been neutered/spayed. They have also been front-paw declawed so they would be required to be exclusive indoor-only kitties. Mr. Hyde and Kitty Babe are being listed as a bonded pair and are ready to find a loving home together. Please complete/submit an HSOV adoption application if you would like to be Mr. Hyde and Kitty Babe's hero by giving them a fabulous home.
