Story
Stella is a beautiful female Calico kitten who was surrendered by her owner on July 24, 2025 along with her two sisters (Meeko and RJ) and her brother (Hammy). The kittens were 4-months old at that time. Stella has a black/orange/white short smooth coat in a calico pattern, a long tail, and a classic black/orange Calico face with golden eyes, a wide orange stripe on her muzzle/forehead, and long white whiskers. Stella was spayed on September 23, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 5 lbs that day. Stella and her siblings dearly love each other, but they are still working on their social skills with regard to their people friends. They have made progress in our shelter since their arrival, but they are not yet ready to be held in your arms or snuggle up on your lap. We believe that they would do much better in a home environment with a family or individual who has the experience/patience to let them acclimate to their new home (realizing they may choose to hide for awhile until you gain their trust). The siblings have been separated into pairs so that they will have a best friend for comfort/security: [Stella & Meeko] and [Hammy & RJ] Stella and her sister Meeko (a beautiful Chocolate Point Siamese kitten) are sharing a cage and are quite compatible. They are being listed as a bonded pair and will be required to be adopted together.

Story
Taylor (aka Lily) is a beautiful 3-1/2 year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on February 5, 2026 because she was moving to an assisted-living residence and was unable to take Taylor to the new location. Taylor has a dark brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable chubby face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, and extra-long white whiskers. This little sweetheart has a friendly, outgoing personality. Taylor is good with other cats and also with children. There weren't any dogs in the home, so we don't know how Taylor feels about canine friends. Taylor's previous owner indicated that she has been known to be a 'door dasher'. Taylor may look familiar to some of our HSOV Volunteers/Facebook followers since she was adopted from our shelter in August 2025. She has enjoyed the freedom of her very own home for the past six months and is sad to be back in a small cage, so we hope that Taylor will quickly find another great home. Taylor has already been spayed and is up-to-date on vaccinations including rabies vaccine. She weighs approximately 9 lbs.

Story
Konig is a 2-year old male kitty who was found on State Route 550 in the Vincent Ohio area and brought to the safety of our shelter on February 6, 2026. He was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped. Konig has a black long-haired coat with auburn highlights, a long fluffy tail, and a pretty face with golden eyes, a black button nose, and long black whiskers. This sweet boy was a little under-the-weather when he entered our shelter and has received excellent care thanks to our compassionate HSOV Kennel Techs. Konig has been super friendly from day one. He responds in a 'New York minute' when he hears the 'click' of his cage door being opened and anticipates some extra TLC. Konig was given vaccinations, Drontal dewormer, and flea treatment on February 12, 2026 in addition to a round of antibiotics to help him feel better. Konig weighed 8 lbs when he entered our shelter. Konig has already been neutered, so he could leave our shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application.

Story
Hamate (aka Hammy) is an adorable male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on August 20, 2025 along with his sister (Crista Galli) and their mother (Glory Pesto). This little family was found on Greene Street in Marietta, and Glory was doing her best to take care of her newborn babies who were just 5-days old at that time. Thankfully Glory and her kittens went home with one of our wonderful foster mothers on August 24th so that Gloria could raise her babies in a loving home environment instead of a small shelter cage. This little playboy has a black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a cute kitten face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers. Hamate was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on October 19, 2025. He weighed 1.8 lbs that day. Hamate was given booster vaccines on November 9th and December 22, 2025. Glory Pesto, Hamate, and Crista Galli were returned to HSOV on December 23rd since the kittens were fully weaned. Hamate and Crista are currently sharing a double-wide cage in our Jungle Room. Momma Glory had her own private suite in the same room and was adopted on February 24, 2026). Hamate has a playful, outgoing personality. He loves to play silly kitten games and to snuggle up with his little sister Crista. Hamate is good with children as well as other cats. Hamate was neutered on March 9, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 7 lbs that day. Hamate's sister (Crista Galli) was also spayed that day. Naturally we'd love to see him adopted with his sister since they are very bonded with each other. Hamate and Cristi Galli are currently sharing a large cat tower with two other kittens (Beelzebub and Honey Buns), and they all get along quite well.

Story
Mrs. Thumbs is a beautiful 3-year old female Tuxedo kitty who was brought to the HSOV on August 11, 2025 along with her two 3-month old kittens (Weebles and Wobbles) by a Good Samaritan who found this little family in the Little Hocking Ohio area. Mrs. Thumbs has a gray-and-white short smooth coat in a tuxedo pattern, a long tail, and a lovely symmetrically-marked face with large golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. This little momma has a friendly, rather demure, personality. She was understandably very shy when she found herself in an unfamiliar place with so many other cats nearby but is responding to the attention and kindness from our compassionate HSOV kennel techs. Mrs. Thumbs weighed 7 lbs on August 11, 2025. She was given vaccinations, wormer and flea treatment on September 8, 2025. Mrs. Thumbs was given booster vaccines on September 25, 2025. Mrs. Thumbs was spayed on October 3, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 6 lbs that day. Momma Thumbs is sharing a double-wide cage with her male kitten (Weebles). They are very bonded with each other and provide security/comfort for each other, so we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together. Her female kitten (Wobbles) went home with a foster mother on August 11, 2025 since she is most likely a CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia) kitty (a neurological condition in which the cerebellum is smaller than usual or not completely developed. This is a disorder found in cats (and dogs) which causes jerky movements, tremors and generally walking and balance problems. It is a non-progressive and non-contagious condition. Symptoms appear at birth although they may not be noticed until the kitten starts walking. Mrs. Thumbs and Weebles are ready to find a loving home with an individual or family who will have the patience and understanding to let them acclimate to their new home on their own schedule.
