Story
Cheyenne is a 7 year old deaf Catahoula Leopard Hound mix. She came to us from a kill shelter in Alabama. She’s a beautiful girl who is a bit on the shy side, gentle, and she has lived with other dogs. Oh, and she’s a looker, too, with those bright blue eyes and merle coat. Cheyenne is a graduate of our Group Training Class, Basic Obedience. We wouldn't recommend that Cheyenne live with children, she prefers a quiet adult household. She would do best as an only dog. We're not sure about cats. To meet Cheyenne, please fill out an application for adoption:   http://www.deafdogrescueofamerica.org/adoption-application.html      Please note that we are unable to respond to inquiries, emails or phone calls. Our adoption process starts with completion/submission of an application for adoption. All applications are reviewed as quickly as we can, and our adoption process is not first come, first served. We select our adoptive homes according to what our dogs/puppies require. If you are selected as an appropriate match, you will be contacted to set an appointment to visit the Ranch and meet Cheyenne.  November 3, 2024, 12:20 am

Story
Roxy is s female purebred blue Merle catahoula. She weighs 54 lbs and is very strong. She is very high strung, needs alot of interaction and does not like to be left alone. She plays very well other dogs, she thrives on it, she also loves to play catch. She is left at home while i work 6 days a week and i wish i could bring her with me but i cannot. I take her to the dog park almost every day but she still has boundless energy. She sleeps well and she barks well too. I do not know how she would be around little kids, she tends to be pushy and throws her weight around. Her breed can be taught to climb trees, i have not trained her for that but she can naturally jump very high. She would do great in a home with another dog, big or small, she just loves to play. Wish i could keep her but i don't have enough time or space for her level of energy.

Handsome Romeo is a gem! He's super and handsome and very sweet. Romeo and his girlfriend were abandoned in the streets of Los Angeles. But he hasn't lost trust in humans. Story
Available to foster or adopt!Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog DOB: 6/2013 Gender: female Altered: yes Coat: medium Size: large Color(s): white/tan merle Description: ***Needs a Foster Home*** This dog is in need of a foster home as well as a permanent home. If you are interested in fostering please fill out an online foster application. Hi, I'm Daisy, aka, Daisy Mae, a Catahoula Leopard Dog with a rare breed feature, a 'glass eye', meaning my blue eye is the lightest of blues of the breed, almost milky blue. Then of course I also have a brown eye! I am very friendly with people and most dogs. I am very affectionate and would love to snuggle at your feet or next to you while you watch TV or take a nice walk with you. I am best as an only dog as I am a food resource guarder with other dogs. I am under treatment for chronic anemia and I take medication for it. I may also need occasional blood tests. I lost my home with my 3 ‘siblings’ when our owner got sick and then sadly passed away after we were boarded at CARL for over a year. I’d love to be in a loving home to make up for lost time. If you need a loving, upbeat, grateful companion, I could very well be your girl. Please fill out an online application to meet me.May 25, 2025, 11:08 pm
