Meet Marvel he is a 2 year old neuter Catahoula leopard hound/pitty mix that’s looking for love! I am looking for a foster or ultimately an adopter. Marvel was rescued from Hesperia shelter on the day he was scheduled for euthanasia and had a foster lined up who was unable to take him due to medical issues, sadly when I told “rescue”, they basically said if I didn’t pick him up he would go back to shelter. I’m not that familiar with the rescue process but why after pulling and neutering etc could he be sent back? Anyway I thought he’d have a better chance of finding a home with me then a horrid, full and quick to kill San Bernardino shelter Marvels a little shy at first but considering all the instability he has had this month, I’d be anxious too! Marvel is still a sweet, most loving, affectionate, playful happy and loyal guy. He loves other dogs. I would totally keep him, but my bull terrier can only be the only one big dog and can’t be friend anymore😢 He is here in Chatsworth

Bonded brother and sister....so sweet and so loving! Meet Freckles, an absolutely stunning 6 month old, male, Catahoula Leopard/Aussie Shepherd mix that is about 33lbs. Freckles and his sister Luna were being given away for free as young puppies in front of a Walmart. Thankfully, a kind woman took them home knowing that they could have ended up in the wrong hands. She reached out to us to see if we could take them into our rescue and we said yes! Freckles and Luna are so bonded that they get sad when they are apart from each other. These two are absolute perfection together and will settle into a new home much easier than if they were separated. Freckles is a confident, sweet, and very loving dog! She is smart and learns commands quickly. We are looking for a home for the two siblings that has owners that are not gone long hours during the day and will walk them daily so they get the exercise and stimulation they need. A home with a safe and secure yard would be perfect for them to run and play in. If you are looking for two dogs that get along wonderfully and have the best personalities....than look no further! Cheyenne is a 7 year old deaf Catahoula Leopard Hound mix. She came to us from a kill shelter in Alabama. She’s a beautiful girl who is a bit on the shy side, gentle, and she has lived with other dogs. Oh, and she’s a looker, too, with those bright blue eyes and merle coat. Cheyenne is a graduate of our Group Training Class, Basic Obedience. We wouldn't recommend that Cheyenne live with children, she prefers a quiet adult household. She would do best as an only dog. We're not sure about cats. MEET BEAR! Bear is part of a bonded pair of Catahoulas recently rescued from a very full California shelter. Bear, 5-year-old, 58-pound male dark Catahoula, and Sadie, a 6-year-old, 40-pound tan/brown Catahoula, were adopted from the shelter in 2018. They were returned back to the shelter because of a death in the family and the owners had to move out of state to help with the grandkids. Bear & Sadie are good with both children and other dogs. They are housebroken, chipped, spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on their vaccines. They are a sweet middle-aged pair who need a home together. Please email for an application.
