Story
Make your new best friend into family with this gorgeous, spirited mutt. He has the best of everything - sweet nature, loves people and other dogs, faithful companion and energetic playmate. Dudley was an owner surrender after human medical issues and just needs an active family where he might have another young dog and/or kids to play with. Dudley is a tall and lean boy with beautiful Catahoula Leopard markings, a long but smooth coat, and is well behaved for grooming. He is highly food-motivated. He travels well and enjoys outings to the dog park, pet store, or walking the trails where everyone loves his goofy smile. This boy is already housebroken and knows basic commands, having lived all his life in a family. Although Dudley is crate-trained, he might become bored and destructive (toys and bedding only) if left alone and confined for long periods in a crate. Need a jogging partner? He is looking for an active home where he can walk and play several times a day. If you are looking for a strong and loyal canine companion to spend the next decade with, you can't do better than this boy!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. If you have not summited an application and are waiting for a response from us by email, please understand that applications are coming in every day and are being processed ahead of you. Therefore, the longer you wait for questions to be answered, the less your chances are. In addition, as home life and rescue put the needs of our rescue dogs first, we regret that we were not able to get back to you. ***CLASSIC SLICK COAT ***SPAYED***CHIPPED***FULLY VETTED ***GREAT WITH KIDS AND ADULTS ***GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS ***COMMAND, LEASH AND HOUSE TRAINED Our German shepherd rescue is happy to announce that we have for adoption one of the cutest, most loving, happiest 1.2-year-old German shepherd female mixes that we have ever had. This young lady (Daisy) is the definition of family friendly, she cuddles, she plays, rolls on her back for belly scratches, she calmly lays by you when you are resting, totally enamored with walks in the woods, absolutely adores children and adults, pretty much a social butterfly! Having said that, she is alert, thoughtful, super intelligent and family protective but in a controlled format. Daisy's mix is a positive in this case where she is German shepherd and Catahoula. Both of these breeds are highly intelligent, affectionate, open and family protective. This girl has beautiful slick coat, absolutely striking muscular body build, the most amazing ears you have ever seen, perfect symmetry and gait, all this and a total love sponge! Daisy passed all of our training and socialization programs, projecting strong desire to bond, strong desire to train and an overall base of understanding that far surpasses her years. To this young ladies credit, she left a bad environment and chose to never look back, her strength of character is simply humbling! As the lead trainer for our rescue my job is to teach, build character and heal, through my months with daisy I can truthfully admit that she evolved to the point that I was becoming the student and she the teacher, an experience I will cherish for life! Our girl can fit in any household that can give her the love she desires, the personal time she desires and the commitment she desires!

Story
Adoption Donation  $    299      Located:  RI  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details ) Age: est. DOB 8/21/24   Weight: 65 lbs. Meet Chevy aka Puddles  This sweet 1-year-old pup is goofy and smart all in one beautiful package.  He does have some quirks that have kept him from winning over his own family. Chevy has stranger-danger and does not meet new people well. He does take a couple meets before he feels comfortable. He barks and guards his soul so none of those pesky human strangers can steal it.  If you can get past his quirk, I promise, this dog is one amazing friend. We all love him here in his foster home. He does currently live with kids and a baby but because of his quirky ways, I would feel better if he went to an adult only, experienced home.  He gets along great with the other dogs in my home besides the occasional toy scruffle. We don't know how he would be with cats.  He does bark and growl at strangers so a low traffic home would be best and a fenced yard is a must because it will take Chevy time to trust his new human and probably won't feel safe with a stranger walking him right away. Puddles is currently working with a trainer.  Come visit Puddles in his foster home any time just promise not to steal his soul.   *** As part of the adoption donation this pup will participate in FOA's spay/neuter program or other programs available through FOHA. All puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations.  All small Pups need to be adopted by by children old enough to understand how to be respectful and gentle in handling a small young pup. ***     If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website   www.fohari.org and email my foster parent for more information:    reginasfosterdogs@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.       Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Story
Rous is a 7 month old puppy. She’s very energetic and sweet towards people, but not so much other animals. She gets along for the most part with our older dog, though. We adopted her from Bridgeport animal shelter. She was abandoned with 4 of her siblings. She needs a fenced in back yard with no other animals in the home.
