Story
Penny is a gorgeous Rhodesian ridgeback mix that weighs approximately 50 lbs and is the sweetest girl! She is approximately 1 year and 3 months old and was found in January of 2026 in a cemetery with about 12+ other dogs. She was fending for herself, finding food, water and shelter where and when she could. This awesome girl absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. She is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this baby until their forever home is found. They are the ones who originally found her and got her to safety, before reaching out to us to help in placing their animals in the homes they deserve. She can be a little shy right at first, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up and become your loyal, best friend. Penny is very active and loves to romp around the yard and play with the other doggies. The happiest she is, is when she is with other dogs and they have toys to play tug-o-war with. We strongly recommend another dog or dogs in the home, or consistent doggy friends/doggy parks/doggy day-care that she can go to. Where Penny currently is, has pigs and she enjoys playing with them too! While she does love to play, she is very gentle when she does. She is not overly rough. She is a bit of an escape artist as she just enjoys being out and about. Penny is MOSTLY house trained, just needs consistency to master is 100% Penny loves car rides and walks okay on a leash, will need a bit more work on the leash to become perfect. She has great recall once she is familiar with the area. We learned she is an escape artist as she climbed a 4-foot fence and got out. But all she did was explore a little bit and then go to the front door of the home and wait to be let in. She is such a good girl! An ideal home for Penny would be one that is: Active, wants a dog that loves to go on adventures Wants a best friend, a dog that will be your shadow Has another active dog to play with and tire each other out The fosters favourite thing about Penny: That even after she was dumped and left to starve to death in the middle of nowhere, she still trusts people and is the sweetest, most loving baby. This animal is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($495) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Story
We received Millie about a year ago from a friend who knew someone who had a puppy they wanted to find a new home for. They had her living in a crate outdoors 24 hours a day and she was underfed. We wanted to rescue her so we took her in. She's a mixed breed but we're not sure what exactly she is. We think she might have some Rhodesian Ridgeback in her based on her coloring and body shape. We housetrained her and taught her the "sit" command but she could use some training in other areas. She's a sweet dog, however, she seems to have some anxiety when it comes to strangers, especially men. She has a lot of energy and it is a little overwhelming for us as we have a new baby. We also have an older dog who doesn't have the energy to play with her all the time like she wants to. We have a small fenced in area in our yard but she needs more space to run around. She needs a home with someone who has the time and patience to train her and give her the attention she deserves.

Story
Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. He would be the perfect match for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need a high-energy lifestyle. With patience and understanding, Buddy has so much love and potential to share. Are you the kind soul ready to give Buddy the forever home he deserves? Hi! My name is Lil Man, and I’m 1 half of the inseparable duo full of love and laughter. We're young, smart, and have tons of energy to play and explore. We might be a bit shy at first, but give us a moment, and we'll be your cuddly companions. We love being goofy and making our friends laugh with our funny antics. We're also very gentle and friendly, perfect pals for any family. We're looking for a forever home where we can share all our love. Adopt us for endless fun and friendship! Sadly, Lil Man and Rudy were abandoned in a small rural county in Mississippi. The mother and her three pups were homeless and were living in the woods when a local police officer contacted the rescue for help. The police brought the two males, Lil Man and Rudy, and their sister, Scarlet to the rescue. Scarlet went to a rescue in Maine leaving Lil Man and Rudy behind waiting. These 2 boys are so bonded that we wish they could go together. They absolutely adore each other. they were raised inside before becoming homeless, so they are house trained. We are looking for the perfect home for these two boys. They are the sweetest, most lovable dogs that anyone could ever want. They just need a loving home and a pet owner that is willing to love him. This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Make your new best friend into family with this gorgeous, spirited mutt. He has the best of everything - sweet nature, loves people and other dogs, faithful companion and energetic playmate. Dudley was an owner surrender after human medical issues and just needs an active family where he might have another young dog and/or kids to play with. Dudley is a tall and lean boy with beautiful Catahoula Leopard markings, a long but smooth coat, and is well behaved for grooming. He is highly food-motivated. He travels well and enjoys outings to the dog park, pet store, or walking the trails where everyone loves his goofy smile. This boy is already housebroken and knows basic commands, having lived all his life in a family. Although Dudley is crate-trained, he might become bored and destructive (toys and bedding only) if left alone and confined for long periods in a crate. Need a jogging partner? He is looking for an active home where he can walk and play several times a day. This young lady (Daisy) is the definition of family friendly, she cuddles, she plays, rolls on her back for belly scratches, she calmly lays by you when you are resting, totally enamored with walks in the woods, absolutely adores children and adults, pretty much a social butterfly! Having said that, she is alert, thoughtful, super intelligent and family protective but in a controlled format. Daisy's mix is a positive in this case where she is German shepherd and Catahoula. Both of these breeds are highly intelligent, affectionate, open and family protective. This girl has beautiful slick coat, absolutely striking muscular body build, the most amazing ears you have ever seen, perfect symmetry and gait, all this and a total love sponge! Daisy passed all of our training and socialization programs, projecting strong desire to bond, strong desire to train and an overall base of understanding that far surpasses her years. To this young ladies credit, she left a bad environment and chose to never look back, her strength of character is simply humbling! As the lead trainer for our rescue my job is to teach, build character and heal, through my months with daisy I can truthfully admit that she evolved to the point that I was becoming the student and she the teacher, an experience I will cherish for life! Our girl can fit in any household that can give her the love she desires, the personal time she desires and the commitment she desires!
