Story
🐾 Meet Canela! 🐾 Name: Canela Age: 1 year old Gender: Female Weight: 64 lbs Size: Big girl, big heart! ❤️ Canela’s story is one of survival. We rescued her just minutes before she was scheduled to be euthanized at a high-kill shelter in South Texas, near the Texas–Mexico border. She was given a second chance, and now she’s ready to find the family she was always meant to have. Canela is a big, beautiful ball of energy with an even bigger personality! She is incredibly sweet, loving, smart, curious, playful, and adventurous. She loves being involved in everything her people are doing and is definitely a Velcro dog — if you’re there, she wants to be right there with you. ❤️ She LOVES to play, and water is one of her favorite things! Whether she’s running around, exploring, playing with her ball, or finding something fun to get into, Canela is always ready for her next adventure. She is leash trained, crate trained, and house trained, and she does well with kids. She also enjoys other dogs who can match her energetic and playful temperament. Now, let’s talk about her personality! 😂 Canela is not shy about asking for attention. She has a demanding little personality when it comes to getting love and attention, and she will absolutely let you know when she thinks it’s time to focus on her. She’s affectionate, people-oriented, and wants to be part of the action. And one very important Canela fact: She can jump ANY fence. And I mean ANY fence. 😂 Height does not seem to matter to this girl. Her future family will need to be extremely careful with fencing and have a secure plan to keep this adventurous escape artist safely contained. 🏡 Canela’s ideal home Canela needs an active home with people who understand and appreciate an energetic young dog. She would thrive with a family that enjoys outdoor adventures, playtime, exercise, and keeping their dog mentally and physically engaged. Her energy can be a lot if you’re expecting a calm couch potato — but if you’re looking for a fun-loving adventure buddy who will shower you with affection, Canela may be your girl. Once you get past her “I HAVE ENERGY AND I NEED YOU TO KNOW ABOUT IT!” personality, you’ll discover the most loving, loyal, affectionate girl. Canela has already fought hard for her second chance. Now she just needs someone who will give her the active, loving forever home she deserves. 🐾❤️ Could Canela be your next adventure buddy? Canela is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. He would be the perfect match for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need a high-energy lifestyle. With patience and understanding, Buddy has so much love and potential to share. Are you the kind soul ready to give Buddy the forever home he deserves? Story
Meet sweet, gentle, loving girl Harper. She's an easy girl to have around and provides great company whether it be going for a walk, sunbathing in the yard, or playing with her favorite toys. She's so very gentle, loves human attention and engages well in her surroundings. She enjoys being doted on, receiving belly rubs and being the center of attention. She has that endearing hound hoot bark when she feels the need to alert you of something nearby. She enjoys being pet and really enjoys being brushed while laying down soaking up the warmth of the sun. She is playful with her toys - tossing them in the air, chasing after them, and enjoys the benefits of a good chew toy. This girl would be great in a home that is gentle yet active to keep her physically and mentally stimulated. A fenced in yard is a definite plus because she very much enjoys the freedom of lounging in the yard. She walks well on leash and is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date with vaccinations. She weighs approximately 85 lbs and estimated to have been born around 9/1/22. Please note, if you're not ready to adopt but would consider fostering Harper, we would love to share with your what that means and how much of a positive difference you'd be making in a life of a dog that needs you.

Story
Make your new best friend into family with this gorgeous, spirited mutt. He has the best of everything - sweet nature, loves people and other dogs, faithful companion and energetic playmate. Dudley was an owner surrender after human medical issues and just needs an active family where he might have another young dog and/or kids to play with. Dudley is a tall and lean boy with beautiful Catahoula Leopard markings, a long but smooth coat, and is well behaved for grooming. He is highly food-motivated. He travels well and enjoys outings to the dog park, pet store, or walking the trails where everyone loves his goofy smile. This boy is already housebroken and knows basic commands, having lived all his life in a family. Although Dudley is crate-trained, he might become bored and destructive (toys and bedding only) if left alone and confined for long periods in a crate. Need a jogging partner? He is looking for an active home where he can walk and play several times a day. If you are looking for a strong and loyal canine companion to spend the next decade with, you can't do better than this boy!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. This young lady (Daisy) is the definition of family friendly, she cuddles, she plays, rolls on her back for belly scratches, she calmly lays by you when you are resting, totally enamored with walks in the woods, absolutely adores children and adults, pretty much a social butterfly! Having said that, she is alert, thoughtful, super intelligent and family protective but in a controlled format. Daisy's mix is a positive in this case where she is German shepherd and Catahoula. Both of these breeds are highly intelligent, affectionate, open and family protective. This girl has beautiful slick coat, absolutely striking muscular body build, the most amazing ears you have ever seen, perfect symmetry and gait, all this and a total love sponge! Daisy passed all of our training and socialization programs, projecting strong desire to bond, strong desire to train and an overall base of understanding that far surpasses her years. To this young ladies credit, she left a bad environment and chose to never look back, her strength of character is simply humbling! As the lead trainer for our rescue my job is to teach, build character and heal, through my months with daisy I can truthfully admit that she evolved to the point that I was becoming the student and she the teacher, an experience I will cherish for life! Our girl can fit in any household that can give her the love she desires, the personal time she desires and the commitment she desires!
