EXERCISE NEEDS: Daily Workout EASE OF TRAINING: Capable FRIENDLINESS WITH PEOPLE: Loves Everyone PLAYFULNESS: Semi-Pro FRIENDLINESS WITH DOGS: Social LEASH MANNERS: Pulls Sometimes Meet Seymour ("See More") Age: 1 Year Old Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Seymour, affectionately known as "See More," is a playful and loving pup with a sense of humor as bright as his personality. Despite being vision-impaired and deaf, he’s all about "seeing" (and feeling) more of the world around him—he’s always up for a game of fetch with a high-visibility, brightly-colored toy or ball, or an exciting adventure with his human and dog pals. Seymour is a total cuddle bug who loves to snuggle up on the couch and bask in all the love you have to offer. His adorable charm isn’t affected by his lack of sight or hearing—he’s still a big fan of people and dog friends alike! With his gentle nature and playful spirit, he makes the perfect companion for anyone looking to add some joy and warmth to their lives. Seymour might not be able to navigate his surroundings as well as others and may present unique training challenges, but he sure knows how to bring happiness into it with his antics. Ready to meet this lovable little guy? He’s excited to "see more" of life with you! Due to his unique challenges, we have some books and tool recommendations to make transitioning into your home easier for you AND Seymour. There is a device called a "Halo" that fits like a harness and creates a ring in front of his body to give him feedback via the harness to stop him before he walks into a hard surface and potentially injures himself. There are also vibration collars that can be used to assist training for dogs that are hearing impaired. Because he can see SOME shapes, he has benefited in our care from sign language training with the help of "Acorns DEAFinitely Awesome Dictionary of Signs" book, which has pictures and descriptions of easy-to-use American Sign Language commands. All of these tools are available online!

Story
Little Ms. Lady was found running back and forth across a three-lane highway as a puppy. She's now three years old and is looking for her forever home! She does need to be an only pet (she doesn't share attention well) without any small/young children in the home, since they make her nervous. She incredibly intelligent, willful, and most of all loving. She is looking for someone who can really center her in their home. She LOVES cuddles and playtime (stuffies are her favorite) and most of all food! She needs someone who can keep her active as she is a high-energy breed and gets bored easily, but she will most definitely be happy to curl up on the couch or in bed with you at the end of the night. She LOVES people but doesn't do well in public as busy environments make her really nervous. She's forever curious, but terrified of her own shadow. She'll take up a lot of your time, but she's worth it!! She does have prescription medication for her anxiety and will be rehomed with supplies.

Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! Hey everyone! I’m **Skyler** 💙🐾 I’m a 5-year-old Catahoula Pit mix with the cutest freckles and a heart full of love and zoomies! If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and loyal best friend — I’m your girl. Let’s talk about my favorite thing ever: **FETCH.** 🎾 I LOVE it. I have mad skills, too! Give me a ball and a big yard, and I’ll show you my moves. I’d be happiest in a home with a fenced yard where I can run, chase lizards, zoom around, and of course, play ball to my heart’s content. When I’m done being an athlete, I turn into a professional cuddler. I love snuggling up close, giving kisses, and soaking up all the affection. A loving home where I can be part of the family is exactly what I’m dreaming of. I’m crate trained, potty trained, and house trained — I’ve got my manners down! I know commands like sit, down, and stay. I’ll be honest though… I’m a foodie. I listen extra well when treats are involved! I’m still working on leash manners and responding without snacks, but with a firm and loving hand, I’ll keep getting better every day. I do need a limited ingredient diet to keep my tummy happy — but that’s easy peasy! I’m great with older kids and would thrive in an active family that loves to have fun. I’d prefer a home without cats, please. ✨ **Fun fact about me:** I have one blue eye and one brown eye — it’s called heterochromia. Pretty cool, right? If you’re ready for backyard adventures, endless games of fetch, cozy couch cuddles, and a loyal companion who will love you with her whole heart — I’m waiting for you. Love, Skyler 💕 Adoption FEE: $0 which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process. Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption. TO ADOPT, APPLY ONLINE: www.mercyfullprojects.org PLEASE NOTE: We do our best to supply all known information about each animal in their profile. Adoption fee - Along with the individual animals vetting and daily care costs, the adoption fee helps Mercy Full Project cover additional vet bills, maintain their facility, and cover the cost of their operations in order to rescue more animals in need. **Our companions MUST live in your home as part of your family. **We do not transport. **Review our website for more information.
