Story
We believe he could be a pure bred Catahoula Leopard Dog! And words used to describe the breed describe sweet Ric perfectly: inquisitive, intelligent, energetic, gentle, independent and LOVING. Ric is highly food motivated and is willing to learn anything quickly for a treat! He’s good on a leash, and due to his hound nature would do best with a fenced in yard— he can be a wanderer. He surprisingly passed our cat test with flying colors! He was so gentle and even submissive to the grown cat and 5 kittens we have. Though he is extremely gentle, he could use some manners! He may be prone to counter surfing if he ever got the opportunity, but with work he’d make an amazing house dog! He’s great with every person he meets, and every dog so far. Since he’s a hound, he may would chase pocket pets, as it’s his nature. Ric would make a great running partner, couch potato, or anything as long as he gets love!

Story
If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an application on our website. Completing an inquiry on this page does not mean you have applied to adopt. If this post is still up, she is still available. https://fairytails-rescue.weebly.com/adopt.html Mable is special needs: *Mable is a tripod (back leg amputated) *likes men and women *kid friendly *cat friendly *passive dog friendly Mable has been through a lot since coming into Fairy Tails. She was surrendered to Fairy Tails due to an injury her owners couldn’t afford to take care of. The injury resulted in her needing a rear leg amputated. Mable is a tripod! Although she only has 3 legs, that does not slow her down. She’s great with the dog respectful toddler in her foster home. She doesn’t bother the cats in every day living. She has done okay with dog introductions. Her hair does stand up with a little growel upon initial introduction. She seems to have an assertive personality. It would be best if other pets in the home are passive. She has food protectiveness - she has chased the cat off from her food dish. We have not had food with her around other dogs and recommend if there are dogs in the home to feed and give treats separately. She does fine with her foster person sticking her hand in the dish while eating or taking the bowl away. We have not had fed her around the toddler in her foster home, but the toddler has given her treats. We also suspect some toy protectiveness. The cat had a cat nip mouse that Mable kind of chased her for, when the cat dropped it, Mable didn’t even want it. So it was like she didn’t want it but the cat couldn’t have it either. If there are other dogs in the home that don’t care about toys it would be fine, but I would be nervous if the other dog loved their toys or were protective too. In rescue we do keep all of our pets on leash or in a fenced in yard. Mable does seem to have a strong come when called, but she also seems to have a hound like nose that may get the best of her. Although Mable only has 3 legs, she does still need activity due to her breed to prevent her from getting bored and starting bad behavior. She loves her daily walks in her foster home. She also loves to cuddle up on the couch with you, and often greats you with a smile! DOB 4/6/16

Story
Butler came to us after his owners recognized he was no longer a good fit for them. He has a lot of energy and a HUGE personality. He's fun to work with, goofy, and has shown he can socialize, with supervision, with other dogs. He should be the only dog in the home, as he will need structure and consistent training to thrive. He's had great success in a home setting with a trainer, living among a pack of dogs. He is e-collar trained, housebroken, crate trained, does excellent in a home setting, and has great leash skills. He will be a wonderful companion in the right home and has the potential to be a wonderful canine companion with structure and leadership. Butler has the potential to be a wonderful adventure buddy, but experience with powerful breeds is an absolute must. Butler does have some behavioral complications and will need strong and reasonable leadership. His trainer and handler can discuss this in detail with any interested party. With a lack of structure, he can begin to take advantage of handlers in the home. Starting off on the right foot is very important to Butler's success, and his trainer would be happy to do follow-ups to make sure he is successful long-term. We are looking for a handler who is ready for his high energy, but very trainable, personality. Please call Pet Rendezvous at 603-447-3435 to book a phone call with Emilie Swett, his trainer and foster, if you have any questions.

Story
Hello, my name is Cobra! I am a very energetic guy who loves running around in the dog park, and going for hikes. I haven't had much of a chance to hang out with other dogs yet, but with a proper introduction and another high energy dog it may be a possibility. Due to my high energy, teenagers and adults would be the best fit in a new household. I do not have experience living with cats but I would probably chase them for fun. If you are looking for a loving, active companion come meet me today!

Story
Breed: Catahoula Leopard Mix Age: 9 months (March 1st) Weight: 50 lbs Medical: Up to date on Vaccinations, microchipped, Neutered Cat Friendly: Yes Dog Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes House Trained: In training (goes outdoors and indoors on pee pads) Crate Trained: Yes, In an open playpen style crate; No to a closed crate Location: New Hampshire Brownie was a stray puppy that is approximately 26 weeks old and weighs approximately 35 pounds and is very lovable, playful and loyal. He continues to use the potty outside, with consistency. Pee pads are still kept in the home in case of “accidents” as he is still in training. He is extremely playful with the other dogs and cats in the home. He would do best without senior animals as he is extremely playful and as for cats when they tell him they don’t want to play – he listens! But even though he can play a little rough at times, when redirected, he’s aware and listens. He loves going for car rides and knows when anyone is leaving, he will usually be the first waiting at the door! He does well on car rides. Everyone that sees him falls in love with him. He will make a great companion, but needs exercise and daily attention, as well as consistency and redirection, when necessary. Brownie loves to play in the yard and when he is ready to come in is one of the few times that he will bark. He will sometimes bark when he senses something or sees the neighbors that are unfamiliar to him. So far, he lets mostly everyone give him pets and love and he sure does give lots of kisses. He knows the command “sit” and knows how to walk on a leash. He would definitely make a great jogging partner. He loves puppuccinos and playing in the water, swimming pool and splashing in puddles. He even jumps in the bathtub! He’s a very smart, loyal puppy and is very observant. He gives constant eye contact and lots of kisses. He can be food aggressive at feeding time, so if it is a muti-dog home, to avoid him guarding all the dog bowls he is fed separately every day in the open style crate. He already knows to go inside and wait for his food bowl. He stays inside the crate until all the other dogs have finished eating or the food is picked up. If you are interested in adopting Brownie, click at the link below: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Brownie’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
