Story
Paige is a sweet, loving girl with a big heart and a personality that shines. She’s the kind of dog who greets you with excitement every time she sees you. In fact, Paige has her own special way of saying hello — she’ll happily “talk” to you with adorable little row-row sounds that are sure to make you smile. Paige loves being around people and is friendly with everyone she meets. If you sit down on the floor, don’t be surprised if she quickly climbs right into your lap to soak up some affection. She truly enjoys being close to her people and is happiest when she’s getting attention and love. This playful girl has a fun balance of energy. She enjoys walks, playing fetch, toys, and even water, but she also knows how to settle down and relax after playtime. Because she’s still a young dog, she benefits from regular activity to help burn off some energy and keep her happy. Paige is leash trained, crate trained, and does well in the car. She doesn’t bark excessively, though she does like to “talk” to her people in her own cute way. Her goofy personality, intelligence, and eagerness to please make her a wonderful companion who will easily bond with her family. Paige’s story shows just how devoted she is. She was found living under a shed with her litter of puppies, doing everything she could to keep them safe and warm from the freezing weather. Her strength and dedication as a mama say so much about her loving nature. She has done well around other dogs when she is not in protective mom mode, and she is comfortable with children and adults alike. Cats are unknown since she hasn’t been introduced to them. With her affectionate personality, playful spirit, and adorable “talking,” Paige is sure to bring laughter, love, and companionship to the lucky family who welcomes her home. 💛 Paige is from Texas. Story
Meet Cole, a sweet little guy that loves to give sad puppy eyes to get what he wants! It’s clear that he’s simply happy to be safe, warm, and surrounded by people. He greets everyone with a friendly hello, soaking up attention and affection like he’s been waiting his whole life for it. Cole’s story started out a little rough. His mom gave birth and cared for her puppies outside, eventually taking shelter under a shed during very cold weather. She did everything she could to keep them alive and protected. Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan found the little family and brought them inside to safety until rescue could step in. As a young puppy, Cole is still learning the basics. He’ll need continued potty training and all the normal puppy lessons—manners, routines, and guidance to help him grow into a well-rounded adult dog. The good news is that he’s eager to please and has a naturally gentle temperament that will make training a rewarding experience. He does well with everyone he meets and has a calm, sweet nature. He tolerates being in his crate and is learning that it can be a safe, cozy place to rest. Like any puppy, he enjoys playing with toys and exploring his surroundings, but he isn’t overly wild—his personality leans more toward tender and affectionate than rowdy. Cole is ready for a forever home that will be patient, consistent, and excited to help him learn. In return, he’ll offer a lifetime of loyalty, sweetness, and the quiet joy that comes from watching a once-chilly little survivor grow into a beloved family companion. Cole is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 3/7/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue.
