Story

Huxley is a 3 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog who we’ve had since he was 8 weeks old. He’s a great family dog and loves to cuddle. He loves kids, other dogs, and does amazing with our infant daughter and older dog. He does like to pester our cat to get him to play. His favorite activity is swimming though he would enjoy anything that would involve using his energy. He has a great nose and could definitely learn to track/be a hunting buddy. He’s very smart and knows many commands including sit, down, stay, roll over, shake, leave it, hug. We are rehoming him due to his behavior issue of separation anxiety. He pees in the house whenever left alone - he also cannot be kenneled due to hurting himself. I believe he can learn to improve/manage his issue but with our growing family and already trying medications/mental stimulating toys/home training/belly band diapers we feel it would be best for him to find a new home with a family that can always be there for him or help with his issues.

I'm a middle-aged silver fox with lots of pep in my step, a silky smooth coat, and a very distinguished look. With me, you don't have to worry about any of that puppy stuff! I'm fully potty trained, won't eat your shoes, and can be left home alone without being in a crate. I would love a home with a private yard and without shared walls. Noisy neighborhoods make me nervous and I prefer to have "me time" when I'm outside. Seeing dogs or people walking by disrupts my peace and causes me stress. Walks in less busy areas are my favorite; There are so many hidden gems! I grew up with cats and don't feel the need to chase squirrels. I'd rather get my steps in following you around the house in case you need me. I enjoy snuggling with people and can win just about anyone over with my sweet approach and the way I melt in your lap. I have a good relationship with my dog foster brother. Initially, we both liked having our own space as we got to know each other's smell and build trust. Now we can play together or relax together and enjoy each other's company. If we have some shared interests/lifestyles, I'd love to meet you and see if we'd be a good match!

Please CLICK HERE to sign up to foster! Hi! I'm Pistachio. I'm from Arkansas. Meet Pistachio! Pistachio is a catahoula mix. He is about 11 weeks old and 15 pounds. From his foster: Stach is a little man with a big personality! He's been with me for a couple of days and has mastered sit, come, and going potty outside! He doesn't love being in his crate when he can't see his humans, but is happy to settle down in there if he knows we are nearby, and will sleep in it through the night without a peep or an accident. He absolutely loves to nap and snuggle though, and will plop down on your lap for love, and he loves to be held. Another bonus is that he isn't scared of anything - he's very confident and even the loudest sounds don't phase him! He very much enjoys play time with his resident dog playmate, who's a rambunctious 6 month old! Their schedule is play nap repeat. When they aren't wrestling together or sharing a toy, they are cozying up together to snooze. I don't have a cat so I'm not sure how he'd do with them, but he's loved every person he's met and loves the resident dog. Due to his young age and happy personality; I'm sure he'd love everyone psa: he is SO much smaller than he appears in photos in my opinion.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Brandy and her brothers found themselves unwanted at a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown.   All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Meet this gentle soul, Brandy! She is a pup who you’ll fall in love with instantly. She is cautious upon meeting new people, but overcomes her timid demeanor very quickly and can’t get enough cuddles. She is kennel trained, potty trained and walks well on a leash. She is happy spending time in the yard and keeping herself entertained with a ball, however she absolutely loves to play with other dogs. She would be a great family dog, as she does well with children.
