Story
We brought her home from the shelter in October 2017, when she was about 4 months old. She was a great dog. Gentle and playful with the senior dog we had until 2021, and gentle with our cats. She used to be generally well behaved with our cats besides chasing them if they would run. Otherwise she just liked to chew them like a corn cob. Unfortunately, she has become randomly aggressive to the cats over the the past couple years. She will snap at them with no warning and has caused serious harm. I have had to keep her in a spare bedroom for the majority of the time. I also started her on Prozac in hopes her demeanor would be more chill. I love her and want her to be happy but I can't provide what she needs - a home without cats and a human that will cuddle her, play, and give her quality attention. She has done great with 3 stranger dogs I've brought over in the past, so im assuming a home with other dogs will be good. She probably needs a dog friend and I won't get another dog.

Story
💔 Seeking experienced home for Ranger (Catahoula mix) 💔We are looking to responsibly rehome our catahoula mix, Ranger, to someone who can give him the time/love/environment he deserves.Ranger is roughly a yr old and not neutered, and up-to-date on rabies. We found him on the side of the highway back in November on the brink of death and starving. He is loyal, smart, and well-mannered, knows basic commands, and the absolute sweetest baby on this earth. He gets along with other dogs and people. He loves fetch, car rides, and cuddles all day. But at this point our resources are limited and can no longer afford to keep him. This absolutely breaks our hearts. But because we travel a lot for work we cannot safely keep him in our home as that is not fair and cruel for him as well.

Story
Meet Auggie, our beautiful Catahoula/Shepherd friend with City of Raytown Animal Services! Auggie was abandoned by her owners and then ran in fear for days in the middle of a highway; she was even struck by a car at one point. Thankfully, Auggie is safe now. And despite everything she's been through, she's a sweet and loving girl. Auggie is around a year old and would love a home where she can fully relax, be leash walked, and build up her confidence. She has warmed up quickly to the staff caring for her with a slow introduction. A new forever home would allow her to get back to being the goofy young pup we know she is. She appears to like other dogs, too! Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information about this sweet baby. She's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available to the right home.

Story
Willie is currently living in a foster home. If you`d like to schedule a time to meet him, please contact Wayside Adoptions at (816) 986-4426.Hi there! I am a lovable little puppy! Even though I am cute as a button I will take some work as I adjust into my new home. Don`t get me wrong, we will have a lot of fun in the meantime but I will need time to understand what`s expected of me. I will need help on all those fun puppy things like house training and basic obedience. I want to learn everything I possibly can. I am pretty excited about life and doing new things! My goal is to be your lifelong companion and I should learn quickly with praise, treats and little patience. I`d really love for us to get enrolled in training classes, after all school is the best way to get us both educated on what it takes to raise a puppy! It will be fun to watch me as I`m learning, after all puppies can be pretty silly. If you`re ready to take on all the fun and companionship, come on out to Wayside Waifs today!
