Story
Meet Auggie, our beautiful Catahoula/Shepherd friend with City of Raytown Animal Services! Auggie was abandoned by her owners and then ran in fear for days in the middle of a highway; she was even struck by a car at one point. Thankfully, Auggie is safe now. And despite everything she's been through, she's a sweet and loving girl. Auggie is around a year old and would love a home where she can fully relax, be leash walked, and build up her confidence. She has warmed up quickly to the staff caring for her with a slow introduction. A new forever home would allow her to get back to being the goofy young pup we know she is. She appears to like other dogs, too! Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information about this sweet baby. She's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available to the right home.

She is energetic and cuddly, loves to be played with and go on walks. Trainable if you take your time and use treats. If anything she is shy and easily scared sometimes. Will go to the door when she has to potty (you would have to re-train her for your door of course). Also, is crate trained even though she would prefer to be out on her bed. Very energetic when in a comfortable setting will do zoomies all day. Some of the most loving people out there dont have much to offer but a loving home.

Story
Bailey •Husky Catahoula mix-mom is a husky mix and dad is a lab looking dog. Maternal grandma looks Catahoula and maternal grandpa is a husky. Bailey looks a lot like her grandma, the Catahoula. • DOB 10/19/2025 Bailey is the single, sweet little pup of a very young mama who survived a tough start. Her mom was one of many dogs left behind in a home after the owner went to jail. At just 8 months old and badly underweight, she arrived into rescue only days before Bailey was born. Thanks to good care and a safe place to land, both mom and pup have been thriving. Bailey is a friendly, wiggly girl who already loves people and enjoys exploring her surroundings. She has the softest reddish coat, adorable white toes, and a happy, social temperament. She’s expected to be a medium to larger dog when grown—likely somewhere in the 45–60 lb range. She will be ready for adoption once she is old enough, vaccinated appropriately, and spayed. For now, we’re accepting applications so she can have her forever family lined up when she’s ready. If you’re looking for a loving, resilient little pup with a great start in her foster home, Bailey may be the perfect fit.

Story
🌟 Meet Me — I’m Star! 🌟 Hi there! My name is Star — like a shooting star! That’s because the night I crawled up a kind family’s driveway in rural Missouri looking for help, they looked up and saw one streak across the sky. They said it was fate — and that’s how I got my name. ✨ I’m a 4–5-year-old, 43-pound bundle of sweetness, fun, and snuggles. I live with my foster family right now, along with some other dogs who have become my best friends. I love to play, share toys (okay, I really love whatever toy another dog has), lounge on my favorite spot — the sofa, and explore the yard. If you have another playful pup, that’s perfect! I’d thrive with a buddy who enjoys having fun as much as I do. I’m a very good girl! I don’t shed, I am crate trained, and learning my leash manners. I get super excited for walks — they’re my favorite part of the day! Once I settle in, I walk pretty nicely and love exploring the world with you. A fenced yard and daily walks would help me stay happy and balanced. I am also very chatty! I’ve got lots to say, being a beagle mix, so an apartment might not be the best place for me. I know how to sit (especially for treats!) and come when you call “Star, come on!” I’m smart, curious, and sometimes a bit stubborn — I like to think for myself. 😉 But I catch on quickly and really want to please. I’m great with other dogs and older kids, though I might accidentally bump into smaller ones because I don’t always realize how big I am. I’m never mean or aggressive — I just really like snacks, and sometimes I think your food should be our food. At night, I sleep in my cozy bed near my foster mom and foster sisters, and I feel safe knowing they are close by. I’ve been through some tough times before, but I’m learning every day that people can be kind and that I can trust them. My foster family says I have the biggest heart — that I’m affectionate, goofy, and loving despite everything I’ve been through. Star's adoption fee is $175. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on preventatives for heartworm/flea/tick. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will fill your home with warmth, laughter, and love, look up — your Star might just have found you. 💫
