Story
Chloe is a gorgeous girl with `icy` blue and white eyes. She has a beautiful white coat with pretty brindle patches. She will run and jump a lot in her enclosure but once out on leash, you can really get her to focus. We would love so much to see Chloe find her favorite home. We know once in a home with a routine Chloe will flourish! She has lived with other dogs here at the sanctuary. If challenged she has not been one to back down so she would need an easy going friend if she were to have a housemate. She`s a pretty high jumper with a lot of endurance so she would do well with an active guardian. Hiking, walks on the beach....she`d love to share in your adventures. She really enjoys a good game of fetch as well. We are pretty positive she would love her downtime as well by being next to you on the couch!

Story
Traveller is a great, beautiful boy who gets compliments on his every walk. He is a very calm dog who doesn't shed, drool, lick or bark. He is great with strangers, older kids, other dogs and our cats. He loves people and is gentle the vast majority of the time. His only behavioral issue is that he startles easily if he is touched while he is deeply asleep, and he may snap when startled awake. Because we have young children who may accidentally wake him abruptly, we feel it’s safest to place him in a home without small kids. He has never shown aggression in any other context. We rescued him from the road in Hollywood, SC about 5 years ago. We took him to Charleston Animal Society who made sure he wasn't anyone else's pet, gave him all of his shots and judged him to be about 5 years old. He does get nervous during storms and will want to stay near you during them. Please feel free to reach out with any questions at all.

Story
Vinny is a friendly, outgoing Velcro hound that is feeling much better these days. He is eager to please, affectionate, and after living on the streets, he thoroughly enjoys a comfy sofa. He came to us with severe allergies that caused chronic ear infections. With a prescription diet food, his skin has improved dramatically. Unfortunately, his ears didn’t respond to various treatments and he has had Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA) on both of his ears. This involves removing the entire ear canal. While many dogs are deaf post-surgery, Vinny can still hear sounds and vibrations. Vinny also has what is called sebaceous adenitis. This is an autoimmune disease that causes cells in the immune system to destroy the sebaceous glands in the skin which secrete oils that are important for coat and skin health. It’s also believed he has some mild allergies. He will require lifelong medications to keep his skin happy and comfortable as well as allergy friendly foods, but he’s well managed now and he’s looking SO much better! And as amazing as dogs are, he has no idea he is any different. He loves to stand on his back legs and put his front paws on your waist to give you a hug. He’s an energetic boy looking for a home with another playful dog and someone to love him forever. We know that Vinny’s continued care will make it hard to find him a forever home, but we know the perfect one is out there for him! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Story
Gerald is a gentle, lanky boy who starts out a little timid, but once he knows you’re safe, he becomes your best friend. He was found by his foster family after it looked like he was dumped on their property. After trying to find who he belonged to with no luck, it was apparent someone else’s so called trash, is now a treasure! He will put his head in your hand and look at you with pure adoration. Like he truly is thankful to not be lost anymore. He loves playing with other dogs once he’s comfortable and enjoys relaxing on his bed for little naps throughout the day. He is also great with children and will make sure to follow them everywhere. He’s a big fan of walks and sniffing all the fun scents in the air. Gerald is a soft, loving boy that deserves the very best home.  **This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible.
