Story
Meet Joy — a pup true to her name!Joy is a 5-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix (about 49 lbs) whose biggest talent is making everyone around her feel… joyful. She’s gentle, affectionate and easy-going with her people.Joy loves being close to humans. After playtime, she’s perfectly happy to settle down at your feet or cuddle on the couch for a quiet evening. She has a medium energy level- she enjoys playful bursts, backyard zoomies and walks, but she’s not a nonstop athlete. She’d much rather spend time with her family than patrol the yard all day. She’s fantastic with kids and has been especially sweet and gentle with an 8-year-old in her foster home. Joy loves fiercely and has a tender, forgiving spirit that really shines around children. She takes treats politely and has an adorable habit of trying to give “hugs” by placing her paws on your waist.About her:House manners? Nailed it.Fully potty trainedSleeps quietly in her crate all night (and actually likes it!)Walks nicely on leashNo issues with people or handlingJoy enjoys playing with other dogs, especially dogs her own size who like to wrestle and roughhouse a bit. Her play style can be energetic and physical, so she would do best with confident canine companions who match her size and play energy. She has done well coexisting peacefully with some dogs in her foster home, though play can occasionally become intense with certain personalities.Because of her strong prey drive, Joy should not live with cats or small animals. She is highly focused on squirrels and birds outdoors and would likely chase them if given the opportunity. She also prefers having her toys and bones respected by other dogs, so thoughtful supervision around high-value items is important.Despite an unknown past, Joy has proven to be remarkably trusting, loving, and adaptable. She’s looking for a home that understands her playful, spirited nature and will give her the companionship, structure and affection she thrives on.She’s ready to be someone’s forever companion! Maybe yours?! Joy is currently in a loving foster home in the Houston, Texas area. She is able to travel out of state and we can typically arrange transportation. Story
MEET CHAI! Chai is a 3-year-old, 53-lb Catahoula mix who is as sweet and affectionate as they come. This handsome boy truly loves being close to his people and feels happiest when he can see what his humans are up to.Chai prefers not to be left alone and does best when his crate is set up in a room where he can feel included—he just wants to be part of the family. He’s a smart, eager-to-please pup who already knows sit, down, and even an adorable “play dead” trick! He’ll also spin in a circle on a hand signal and enjoys showing off his skills, especially when food is involved.Chai appears to be house trained and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. He’s playful and would love a dog buddy who actually wants to romp and play with him. He likes kids and has not yet been tested with cats.On leash, Chai can be a bit of a puller, but with consistency and positive reinforcement (especially treats!), he should improve quickly. If you’re looking for a loyal, people-loving companion with brains, personality, and a big heart, Chai is your guy. Located in Houston, TX Transport available to most states for a $300 fee

Story
Meet GiGi, a bright, playful young pup with a big heart and an even bigger love for fun! GiGi is sweet, excitable, and very people-focused — she absolutely lights up when interacting with her handler and is happiest when she’s engaged in play or enrichment. Food is her love language, and she is highly motivated by treats, snuffle mats, chew items, and puzzle toys. Give her something to work on and she’s all in! In the kennel, GiGi has started to show some stress signals such as panting, pacing, and occasional attempts to door dart, which tells us she’s ready for a home where she can decompress and shine. Outside of the kennel environment, she settles into her joyful, affectionate personality and enjoys connection and interaction. GiGi can be a bit jumpy at times, especially with unfamiliar or desensitization tools, but she recovers quickly and continues to engage once she realizes she’s safe. She’s a sensitive girl who benefits from gentle handling, positive reinforcement, and patience as she builds confidence. This fun-loving, food-motivated girl will thrive with someone who enjoys enrichment, training games, and helping a smart pup channel her energy in positive ways. In the right home, GiGi is sure to blossom into an incredible companion. Interested in meeting me? Submit an adoption application, and our foster team will reach out by email to coordinate a meet and greet with my foster family. 🐾💛
