Oreo is a friendly and energetic big pup. Unfortunately, he was surrendered to the shelter on 1/17/26 because his owner was unable to continue to care for him. He has been spending his time sniffing everything and trying to navigate his new environment. Oreo is house trained, good with kids and ready to meet his new forever family. Oreo is 10 months old and weighs 54 pounds. He is UTD on vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Please stop by to meet this delightful boy. He is excitedly waiting in run 27 and his ID # is 16416. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun.10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Roxy – ID 16982 – Kennel 858 Arrived February 14 – German Shepherd mix – Black – Female Approx. 1 year old – 42 lb (estimated adult weight 50–60 lb) Will be spayed prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative House trained – Dog friendly – Good with children Roxy is a striking young shepherd mix with a sleek black coat, bright eyes, and those beautiful upright ears that show just how alert and intelligent she is. She is full of life and joy — playful, energetic, and always ready for her next adventure. Her family’s living situation changed and, through no fault of her own, Roxy could not go with them. Now she is waiting for someone new to see what a special girl she truly is. Roxy is house trained and does well on leash. She already knows sit, shake, and down, and she listens attentively when you speak to her. She is still polishing her “stay,” but she is young, eager to please, and very trainable. With a little consistency and guidance, she will thrive. She is dog friendly (resident dogs can come to the shelter for a meet and greet) and good with children, making her a wonderful addition to an active household. Roxy would love a home where she can play, learn, and be included as part of the family. She would make an excellent walking, hiking, or running partner — and just as happily curl up near her people after a busy day. Roxy has so much love and loyalty to give.
