Story
Duke is 7 years old. He's the sweetest guy who's had a rough life and deserves better than I can give him. Aged 1 he was attacked by 2 big dogs and lost his front arm and shoulder. In the last few years he has developed an autoimmune disease which is under control now. He takes 2 medications that cost about $50 per month total. He had lost some hair but it is growing back. He's a couch potato and a big snuggle bug. NEVER BARKS. He has lived with cats, dogs and kids his whole life.

Story
Meet Tiny – A Resilient Soul Ready for a Second Chance Tiny didn’t come from an easy start—he spent his early life in a homeless encampment, where he had to fight for food, space, and safety. When he arrived in foster care, he spent nearly two full weeks just sleeping—finally able to rest in peace, knowing he was safe. Despite everything he’s been through, Tiny is overflowing with love and longing for connection. He’s a true Velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be near his person. He’s cuddly, loyal, and would happily spend the whole day in your lap or curled at your side. He sleeps quietly through the night on the bed, and he’s happiest in a calm, quiet home with someone who’s around most of the time—like a retiree or someone who works from home. With continued socialization, he has great potential to become a wonderful “go to work” dog. Tiny is not just emotionally attached—he’s also an expert escape artist. He will wander if given the chance and must be closely supervised in outdoor spaces. A secure yard (with fencing checked carefully for gaps) or leash-only outdoor access is a must. His curious nature and survivor instincts mean he can slip through small openings or bolt if scared. He’s currently living with other small dogs and has formed a strong bond with the resident senior pup—but he can be reactive with unfamiliar dogs and is not a fit for dog parks or high-energy dog homes. He’s not suitable for homes with cats or children. Tiny has had to defend himself for most of his life, and he may growl when startled or disturbed while sleeping. This behavior isn’t aggression—it’s self-protection—but he’ll need a home that understands and respects that history. Separation anxiety is another ongoing challenge. Tiny currently sleeps overnight in an enclosed area with other fosters, but cries for a long time before settling. For this reason, he’s not ideal for apartment living or shared walls. Potty training is still in progress—he wears a belly band when unsupervised and is doing well with routine. He is making steady progress, and his foster is proud of how far he’s already come. Tiny is a survivor, a snuggler, and a fiercely loyal little dog with so much love to give. He just needs the right person—someone patient, experienced, and ready to help him finish the journey he’s already come so far on. If you’re looking to truly change a life and gain a devoted companion in return, Tiny may be the one you’ve been waiting for.
