Story
Meet Holly – A Mellow, Loving Companion Holly is a gentle, easygoing soul who wants nothing more than to be near her person. Estimated to be around 6–7 years old, she has a calm and affectionate nature that makes her the perfect companion for a peaceful home. Holly enjoys her daily walks and does well going potty while out and about. Her foster takes her out four times a day to help her stay on routine, as they don’t have a fenced yard—but she’s very cooperative and walks beautifully on leash. She’s a friendly girl who loves meeting people and is especially sweet with children. At night, Holly sleeps soundly in her kennel from 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. and adjusts easily to a consistent schedule. She’s a quiet, loyal dog who just wants to be close by and share in your day-to-day life. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate pup who thrives on love and companionship, Holly could be the perfect addition to your home.

Story
Meet Libby! Libby is a total cuddlebug who thrives on human connection and would love a home where she can soak up all the attention. She’d do best as the only dog in a home with a present, engaged family—she truly shines when she’s with her people. While she tolerates other dogs, she much prefers the company of humans. Libby isn’t a fan of the leash and would rather spend her days snuggled up next to you than out on long walks. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be near you, Libby may be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Gerard – The Gentle Snuggler with a Curious Heart Gerard may be smaller than his brother, but he has just as much love to give – maybe even more! This sweet little guy is a soft, observant soul who prefers taking it all in before diving into the action. He’s still building confidence day by day, but one thing is already clear: Gerard is a world-class snuggler who thrives on closeness and affection. He loves to curl up in a warm lap after a play session, and if you're the type who enjoys a quiet companion by your side, Gerard just might be your perfect match. He’s quite attached to both people and his brother, so he’d do best in a home where someone is around frequently to help him feel safe and connected. Gerard is doing great with his playpen at night, especially when he has his brother nearby, and he’s already showing off how clever he is – he’s mastered “sit” like a pro and is making excellent progress on potty training with a consistent routine. He also enjoys exploring the backyard and playing gently with the older, bigger dogs in his foster home. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, loving, and loyal companion who will blossom in a calm and nurturing home, Gerard is ready to steal your heart. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Tiny is a small Australian Shepard/Cavalier mix looking for his forever home. This little boy was rescued from a situation where he was fending for himself most of the time. He has adjusted very quickly to the good life of a stable environment where he gets to be taken care of, loved and feel safe. He does well with people and other dogs but his foster feels he would be ideal as a single dog with a couple or single person. He is sweet and cuddly. He loves belly rubs. He wants to be with his person always! We expect him to be a little shadow to whoever adopts him. With his small size (about 8 lbs) you can easily take him everywhere with you! He is a smart boy who is quickly learning leash skills and good manners. If you’re looking for a compact, constant companion, Tiny is a great guy!
