Story
ChakDe is a couch dog through and through, and he has absolutely no apologies about it. This sweet, gentle boy only wants to be right next to his person. On the couch, in bed, at your feet…he'll take whatever he can get, really. He sleeps through the night, loves being talked to and pet, and has a scrunchy little face that would make even the Grinch’s heart melt. He's not particularly food or toy-motivated yet, but responds to sweet talk and gentle touch (yes, it’s as cute as it sounds). He's mellow when he's with someone he's bonded to, and is showing some nice signs of independence, too. He’s still potty training, so some attention to that will help as he settles in. If it wasn’t obvious by now, ChakDe would do best in a home where someone is around regularly, because what even is life without constant connection? If that sounds like your kind of pup, we want to hear from you! -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
Anjali has been busy since day one learning the couch, figuring out the stairs (up: mastered; down: still in progress), discovering toys, and greeting her foster parents with a big tail wag every single time she sees them. She is, by all accounts, a very enthusiastic student of home life. She loves to cuddle and will happily spend hours on the couch next to her people. She can hold her potty all night, which is impressive, and is still working through a few daytime accidents as she figures out the routine. She's good with other dogs, kids, small animals, and car rides, and has recently discovered that yam snacks are a thing that exists, which has made a strong impression. She's sweet, she's social, and she's figuring everything out at a cheerful pace. Why WOULDN’T you want to take her home with you? -----

Story
DesiGirl is a sweet, quiet Cavalier who is learning everything from her foster siste, from stairs and toys to the general concept of having a home, and is picking it all up with a calm, easygoing grace that makes her easy to root for. She loves napping on the couch with her people, runs happily in the yard, and needs just a couple of minutes outside before she gets down to business. She's in no rush, and frankly, doesn’t care much if you are. The one thing she's still working on is leash walking, which is very new and a little overwhelming, naturally. So, she'll need a patient family to help her get comfortable with it. Like we mentioned, she's not a dog who needs to be rushed into anything; she's the kind who gets there in her own time, and we think she’s just perfect that way! -----
