Story
Side Burns is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. He is the sweetest little guy! He loves everyone. He loves to cuddle and play with his other pups. He’s doing really well on potty and can walk on a leash. He gets along well with all dogs big and small. If you are looking for a cuddle bug this is the pup for you. He weighs 10 lbs. He has a good appetite and such a good disposition. He sleeps in his fluffy bed in the laundry room with another pup. He goes potty right away outside. He does have a pee pad at night but some nights it is still dry in the morning. He is very adaptable to all things. He is good with dogs, kids, and other small animals. He is so loving and sweet. Anyone who gets him with be so lucky. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
Étouffée is a 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is a lover. She just wants to love and be loved. Sweet is the best description. She is a little timid and figuring things out but she seems more confident everyday. She hasn’t taken much interest in her toys, but enjoys a good chew stick. She is learning to walk on a leash and potty outside. She is food motivated, so you can use that for training. She is learning not to chase the cat. She likes to sleep in her dog bed next to a human bed. She has only gone #2 indoors but seems to be learning to do #1 outside just not super consistently. She may need time to warm up to more cuddling and affection that she has had in the past, but given a little time, she is warming up to it. She is food motivated. She doesn’t have a lot of experience with other dogs or kids, but she does well with cats. Just look at those eyes, how could you resist this sweet one?!? -----

Story
Bayalage is a 6 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/ Miniature Poodle mix. She is the SWEETEST little thing. She definitely came from a place of limited human interaction or a situation with limited snuggles. She still flinches when someone tries to reach out, but after the initial flinch she is soooo loving. It will just take time for her to learn that humans can be kind. She is learning to “be a dog” by her buddy foster and is such a fast learner. Potty training will definitely be an area to work on as it is clear she has no clue what grass is. She is incredibly eager to please and sooo chill. I have never seen a doodle so calm with a bath and hair dryer. Once Balayage (she does answer to Ginger) is given the time and support to trust, she will be amazing. She would learn a lot faster with another dog, big or small. She loooves her bed and sleeps on the floor without any fuss at all. So far, Bayalage (Ginger) prefers to go indoors. She will need someone with patience and understanding. She really does want to please but just has no clue at this point. She responds quickly to lots of positive reinforcement. Negative discipline will really sets her back. Good news is she has a bladder like a tank and only pees once in the morning and once around dinner time. She has done a low growl (no snapping) resource guard over a yak stick, but shares her food freely with her foster buddy. She is still shy and scared with new people, but if met with a slow hand she will give a quick sniff/kiss. She is just so sweet. She is good with other dogs and children. She doesn’t mind riding in a car. When Bayalage looks at you with her soulful eyes you just can’t help but melt. She is cuddly and so so soft. She does like to bark at the TV, but I think it’s because she has no clue what it is. She will likely become a great TV watching buddy. She does not bark at other dogs and will definitely give in (not dominant). She sleeps beautifully through the night. -----
