Story
We got Murphy when she was 3 months old. She is super sweet and great with people and kids, she just needs more attention than we are able to give her as a young, growing family. She is relatively chill, but she definitely could benefit from regular activity / walks. She prefers to be inside, and if she’s left outside too long she will bark and scratch at the door. She only barks if someone comes to the front door or she’s outside and wants to come in. Otherwise she’s quiet. She would thrive in a house with or without kids. She loves playing with other dogs, so she could do well in a house with other dogs (and this would help with getting energy out). She needs someone who is willing to commit to walking her regularly or just generally keeping her active. I am happy to answer questions or chat more about if Murphy would be the right fit for you and vice versa!

Story
We got Greta when she was a puppy from Hill Country SPCA. She just turned 3 on 4/16. She is an amazing dog that has a ton of energy, loves to play and is great with kids. She knows a lot of commands and is very smart. We think she would be great in a home without cats if possible. She loves to chase ours. If she had a family that had lots of time to burn that energy off would be good.

Story
This is Lexi. The first pic is when we first rescued her and the others are more recent. She was found by my son while he was at work and begged me to let him bring her home. We took her until we could find her a new home. Turns out, we were the new home. I'm not sure of her breed but have been told she's possibly a boxer mix. She is the sweetest girl and very loving. She has been spayed. She loves kids but is nervous at first around adults she doesn't know. She's fine once she gets to know you! I need to find her a new home as soon as possible. I am needing to sell my home and relocate to a different city due to financial and health reasons from an accident I was involved in 9 months ago.

Story
We adopted Lola 4 years ago, when she was approximately 1 year old. We were told she was a Doberman-Blue Heeler mix. She really can be a good dog, but she needs someone experienced with aggression - we are not. We definitely contributed to her issues unfortunately, as we were living in remote area where she was unexposed to other dogs and people for 3 years. When we moved back here last year, we did try to get her more socialized, but she continually acted aggressive towards new dogs. Even in our backyard, she barks at the neighbors dog and tries scratching through the fence. She has gotten to the point that I can't let her around strangers at all. She does not attack people, but she barks at them, jumps all over, and won't remain calm. I want to note, she has never been aggressive to our 5 year old daughter, and has never bitten anyone. That said, she has been increasingly prone to attacking other dogs, to include our other female dog, to the point of drawing blood.

Story
Macho and Canela. The dinamic duo. Macho (male) has great pyranees in hime. And Canela (female) is a red healer mix. I found them together and they are pretty bonded. I have separated them before for a few weeks and they were ok, but do better together. They would be awesome on a working farm or someone with lots of outdoor space. They are definitely outdoorsy. Really awesome with livestock and other pets and especially kids, they love children. My landlords dog has bit Canela several times now. It is not safe for her to be here. Unfortunately I am unable to move at this moment due to medical reasons. I am looking for a foster home for them January and February (I will be getting brain surgery in February)and if it is a really good fit I am open to adoption as long as they are happy!

Story
Lucy was adopted 8 years ago, she is around 8 years old. She is a great dog - but we can no longer meet her needs. She needs lots of engagement, and stimulation. With recent lifestyle changes, we can no longer accommodate what she deserves. This is so difficult for us, but we know she doesn’t have many years left and should live them fully.

Story
Addie is a sweet dog with a good amount of energy for her age. I took her in when my grandfather passed away. I did not want her to end up in a shelter. I recently had a baby and have not been able to give her the attention that she really needs. I want her to find a nice home with someone who will love her and care for her. Addie has been an outside dog most of her life and may need a bit of house-retraining. From my experience, she is good around children and has had no issues with them. She tends to be very protective of her food around other animals, (people are fine) so she's best fed in her own space. I believe Addie is about 13 years old. She is very loving and playful, but does enjoy just relaxing as well. She loves attention but also does well on her own. She is good around cats, easy to bathe, and is crate trained. She seems to sleep better when she is in her crate at night, but I'm sure she can learn to sleep well elsewhere. I'll miss her but want to give her a better life.
