Ruby is a sweet, very friendly, and affectionate yellow lab. At 8 years old she has grown out of all the craziness of young lab and is a mellow companion around the house. Ruby likes to be around people and prefers that but she can also be left alone as needed. Ruby is house trained and any new family will just need to accustom her to their routine and potty area. Ruby has had a few human guardians over her life and she is ready for a forever home where she can be given the love and attention she deserves. Ruby really likes other dogs and she would do well in a home with some canine company but this is not a requirement. While she doesn't seem to be formally leashed trained (she'll walk right off the sidewalk into the road) she loves to walk and gets excited when she realizes that is what is happening. She likes be outside smelling new things and meeting new people, she doesn't seem to be afraid of any one or anything. Ruby will need people who are willing to give her the exercise she needs and take care in feeding her as she is overweight which keeps her from being as bouncy of a dog as she wants to be (although she tries). Given her weight Ruby needs a boost into the car but otherwise she is happy to get in and go for a ride. Ruby will be be a wonderful companion and adventure buddy. Come meet her in Longmont.

Hi my name is Aidan! I am a 1 yr old Yellow Labrador mix. I am back at Big Bones through no fault of my own, staying with my foster family. Like most Labs, I have a lot of energy, which I like to burn on walks. Chewing on my toys, and chasing balls is fun too, (although I’m not sure how to bring it back quite yet), and I like following my foster mom around. When I want to relax, I love to be next to people, I am a cuddler with other dogs, if they like to cuddle, too! I love car rides and have mastered jumping into the car, although sometimes I get so excited I don’t wait for the door to open all the way. I get along great with other dogs, and kids… I am house trained. I am also a total goofball (who does not know how big he is), so I bump and run into everything. Please put in an application for me, if you would like to know anything more, I would love to find my furever home!

Abe ( now known as Luka ) has a pretty sad story. He has been with a California rescue since 2023 and could not find his furever family. He arrived to Colorado on this February 4th. He is a well rounded boy who loves to fetch, love puppies and is sweet, patient, well mannered and house broken. He just wants to follow his humans around and be part of a family. He loves giving and receiving affection. He can fit in with just about any family. He is 4.5 years old and is 63 lbs. He should be fine with kids as his nature is a gentle one. Come see for your self.
