Name: LuckyBreed: Chesapeake Bay Retriever MixAge: 1-2 years old Kids: NoDogs: TBDCats: SelectiveSay Hello to Lucky!!This Lucky lady was a transfer from a local rescue partner. This ball of energy loves everyone she meets! Lucky has a high energy level so will require someone with an active lifestyle who can take this girl on walks, endure her endless love of chasing tennis balls, oh and if you have a pool, Lucky thinks that would be an added plus! Lucky is still working on her leash manners, she can get jumpy and mouthy when she gets overly excited or isn’t exercised enough, so again someone with an active lifestyle and willing to commit to Lucky’s training would be best for Lucky.Lucky is spayed, microchipped, and UTD on her vaccinations. Lucky has tested well with cats, but just wants to play, play, play, so will need a feline friend that isn't shy when it comes to telling Lucky they've had enough. If you are interested in Lucky please complete an application today!!https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
Chesapeake Bay retriever mix,  this explains his big square head, flat ears, thick double coat, he always has something in his mouth, and he barks for attention.   Ask for his video! he is an adult dog, ~2 yrs, he's very playful, loves to carry things in his mouth, he would have a blast playing with the kids.  He's sweet and gentle, and will be a good family dog. Jay is around 2 years old and weighs 70 lbs. He is heartworm negative! Jay is super loveable and good with other dogs.  He has a block head! This is a joyful, happy and uncomplicated fellow.  He loves to play with his fellow doggies and adores his people.  He's a great pup for families, singles, couples and retirees.  Ask for his video it tells all you need to know. Just a great Fellow.  He's a big Teddy Bear of a Doggie!   Jay is a wonderful sweet boy!  He loves his bones and Kong's.  He met me this morning carrying his food bowl, so we traded a full one for the empty one. He loves having something in his mouth to carry around, but he's not destructive. Just a fabulous dog!  Jay is a wonderful, sweet dog, he is super smart and knows the 'fetch' command.  He brings his empty bowl back to the gate to hand to me.  He always has something (bone, kong, bowl, bucket, ball) in his mouth, but he's not destructive, and doesn't chew up anything.  Someone has taught him to fetch and play with toys.  He's only barky at feeding times, seems to ignore other dogs, no idea about cats,  probably strong on his leash, can't remember.  he's all vetted, neutered and hw neg, utd shotsDecember 9, 2023, 11:43 am

Story
Reesie is 2 yrs old, sweet as can be, and loves to play. She is smart, walks nicely on the leash, and rides really well in the car. Her foster mom pulled her from a city shelter with her puppy that has gone on to their forever home and now Ressie is looking for a home of her own. She is smart and eager to please and she loves to meet new people. She will be so much fun to play with in the yard and she would be a pleasure to work on obedience training with. She already walks knows how to sit, and is working on stay and shake. She is a fabulous dog and any family would be lucky to have her. She is really wonderful and she knows it and she would prefer to be the queen of her castle, at least as far as other dogs are concerned. While she doesn't mind cats at all, she would prefer to be your one and only...dog. If you are happy to be a one dog household, Reesie might be the dog for you. Reesie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and is being treated in our care. This dog's adoption fee is $300. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm.
