Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

HI - I'M JOHNNY, a 10-year-old pit/lab mix waiting for a foster or forever home. I'm super cute with my red & white coloring and my speckled ears! My ideal adopter is a single person who wants a companion, a pal for hanging out, walks, hikes, watching TV, car rides, napping. I love to play fetch, and I listen to basic commands. I tend to bond to one person who will be my soulmate, so couples may not be the best for me because I don't want to share the person I bond with and love. I love scratches and affection! I get bored if left alone too long, so best not to leave me out in the backyard for hours. I'm still quite agile and have been known to jump over a fence in my younger days. I'm not all that trustworthy around other dogs, especially male dogs, so it's best if I'm the only dog in the home. I'm still in good health and I'm basically looking for my forever companion to go for walks or hikes or simply watch TV and snuggle. I weigh about 70 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? HI - I'M GOOSE! I'm a young (1-2) black lab-flat coat retriever-lab mix in need of a foster or forever home! (Shelter says I'm 3 but I act like a 1-year-old puppy even in the way I walk.) I was rescued from a crowded California shelter along with my brother Rooster, a flat-coat retriever, who also needs a home. We do not have to be adopted together. I am good with other dogs and a lovebug with people. I'm basically a happy boy who would love my own home where I can be walked, petted, taken on outings or road trips and given the love and attention I so deserve. I weigh about 50-55 lbs. I'm currently still in California, but can be transported to you in Oregon. Please email for an application.

MEET HOLT! Holt is a 2-year-old Black Lab mix in need of a foster or forever home. He is a good, happy boy who is full of life, and still a puppy at heart. He is dog friendly, people friendly and affectionate! He is loyal, gentle and smart! While he loves companionship, he also can be independent and can chill while you're working. Holt would do great with an active person or people as he's quite athletic and will benefit from regular exercise, like walks, hikes or runs. He pulls a bit on a leash but is easily corrected. He would do well with another dog in the home or as an only dog. He is a sweet boy, and weighs about 60-65 lbs. Please email for an application.
