Rosie is the kind of dog who’s always ready for adventure, whether it’s bounding after a tennis ball, trotting down an off-leash trail, or galloping across a big backyard with the wind in her fur! A natural athlete with a heart full of love, Rosie thrives on outdoor playtime and would absolutely adore a bit of land or a spacious yard where she can stretch her legs and explore to her heart’s content. Playful and loyal, Rosie is also a big fan of training time—especially when tasty treats are involved! Meet Lionel! A charming nine-month-old Labrador Retriever currently in Plainfield, IL, whose essence is a swirl of joyful energy wrapped in a sleek charcoal coat and a heart full of cuddles. Lionel is already making his mark as an affectionate, playful companion who's eager to learn and even more eager to love! With a sturdy 47-pound frame and the classic Lab zest for life, he's right in that delightful stage where curiosity meets growing confidence. Whether he's chasing a ball across the yard, practicing his commands, or offering kisses to anyone within range, Lionel is a boy who brings smiles wherever he goes! He’s currently mastering an impressive list of commands (sit, come, look, wait, down, and paw) thanks to positive reinforcement and a hunger for treats and praise. Lionel thrives on structure, enjoying his routine of two meals a day, daily walks, and winding down for bedtime by 8 p.m. His days are filled with action and affection, and he’s ready to share that rhythm with a new family. Lionel is wonderfully social! He lives with children (ages 8 and 12), and his gentle nature shines through in every interaction. He’s becoming more confident with other dogs through training classes and would be compatible with a household that has playful canine companions. He hasn't spent much time around cats, so his compatibility there is still unknown, but he’s always open to new experiences with patience and support. A fenced yard would give Lionel the space he needs to zoom, explore, and burn off that Labrador energy. He does well when left alone for short periods and is making solid progress with house training. Though visits to the veterinarian can be a bit stressful, a reassuring presence helps ease his nerves. Lionel will be required to be neutered prior to placement in his new home. This handsome boy’s right legs were partially amputated when he was just a pup by someone who’s clearly on the bullet-train to hell. Technically, Charisma is special needs, but don’t tell him that! He’s active & gets around well – he can even jump into the car! He’s been dearly loved by his adoptive family for many years, but sadly, must now be rehomed. He’s healthy, crate-trained, & would do best with a small dog to keep him company. Although he prefers women to men, he has lived with a man & was devoted to him. C’mon – everyone could use a little Charisma! How about you?
