Story
Meet Rosie! A spirited one-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever mix currently living in Liberty Hill, TX, whose golden coat and bright white accents mirror the sunshine she brings wherever she goes. Rosie is the kind of dog who’s always ready for adventure, whether it’s bounding after a tennis ball, trotting down an off-leash trail, or galloping across a big backyard with the wind in her fur! A natural athlete with a heart full of love, Rosie thrives on outdoor playtime and would absolutely adore a bit of land or a spacious yard where she can stretch her legs and explore to her heart’s content. Playful and loyal, Rosie is also a big fan of training time—especially when tasty treats are involved! She’s already picked up handy commands like “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “leave it,” and with her food-motivated personality, she’s eager to learn even more with positive reinforcement. When it’s time to wind down, this sweet girl is a cuddle pro, happy to snuggle up after a day full of fun! Rosie is wonderful with children of all ages and enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those her own size who share her zest for play. She would be a fantastic match for a family with other large dogs or anyone simply looking for a loyal, four-legged best friend. While she handles short periods alone just fine and is crate-trained, she truly shines when she’s part of the daily rhythm of a home—sharing time, space, and love with her people. Her one quirk? Vacuums and electric house tools are not her jam—they’re a little too noisy and unpredictable for her liking. But hey, aren’t we all allowed our pet peeves? Fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and house-trained, Rosie is ready to leap into her next chapter! Could your home be the one where she’ll run, romp, and rest her head? Reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com and tell us—can you picture Rosie as your new adventure buddy?

Story
Meet George! A gentle ten-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever currently living in Flower Mound, TX, whose essence is a calm, loving presence wrapped in a soft white coat and 110 pounds of sweet, soulful affection. George is everything people adore about Labradors; laid-back, loyal, and full of quiet charm! His favorite things in life? Pets, walks, snacks, and leaning in close for a good cuddle. He may be a senior, but don’t let the age fool you, this big guy still enjoys his daily strolls, especially when treats might be involved! At home, he’s a serene companion who naps contentedly when left alone, happy to snooze the hours away until his people return. Polite and well-mannered, George knows all the basics; sit, stay, come, potty, lay down, and even waits patiently for direction before heading through a doorway. It’s easy to see that this wise fellow just wants to please. He hasn’t had formal training, but you'd never guess it with how respectfully he carries himself. Crate trained and fully house-trained, he fits seamlessly into a loving home environment. George gets along beautifully with other dogs and has done wonderfully with children 10 and up. He’s never shown a hint of aggression, even around food or wildlife. While his cat compatibility is still a mystery, his easygoing nature suggests he may do just fine with the proper introductions. This big-hearted Lab has a couple of harmless fatty lumps that have been checked out, just a part of being a huggable senior. Previous bloodwork revealed mild hypothyroidism and slightly elevated liver enzymes. While medication wasn’t started at the time, George isn’t currently on treatment, and no follow-up testing has been done. To support his continued health, a veterinary consultation will be included with his adoption, and we’ll cover the cost of any recommended medication for the first month. His favorite place to hang out? By your side or lounging peacefully on the patio. He doesn’t always realize how large he is, but that only adds to his lovable charm! George needs a caring family ready to welcome a mellow, affectionate soul into their hearts and homes. Could your home be the perfect place for this gentle giant to spend his golden years? Ready to meet the lovable Labrador who’s just waiting to lean in for his next pet? Reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
Meet Smokey! A bright and gentle ten-month-old Labrador Retriever/Great Dane mix currently living in Lonoke, AR, whose sunny yellow coat and big puppy eyes are matched only by his sweet, curious nature. His early days were a bit wild – roaming freely with his siblings through the countryside and learning the ways of rural life on his own. But his heart has always searched for connection and companionship. Since entering foster care, Smokey has blossomed with every small milestone, whether it’s walking politely on his leash, enjoying car rides, or impressing everyone at his recent vet visit by sitting calmly among other dogs and greeting fellow humans with polite curiosity. Smokey continues to build confidence each day, proving how eager he is to become the loving, devoted companion every caregiver dreams of. He plays well with other dogs and is friendly and respectful when meeting new people. This playful boy has had zero potty training accidents; he gives clear cues when he needs to go out and picked up on nap and sleep time routines like a seasoned pro. With his Labrador Retriever joy and Great Dane gentleness, Smokey thrives on positive reinforcement, attention, and squeaky balls that light up his day! This growing boy is expected to reach around 70 pounds and needs a secure yard to safely explore and play. He’s seeking a dog-savvy family ready to guide him with patience, kindness, and plenty of chew toys to keep his brilliant mind and puppy spirit happy! With positive reinforcement and loving guidance, Smokey is ready to become a devoted companion, adventure buddy, and gentle-hearted shadow to someone special. Even better? Smokey isn’t the only pup ready for a new loving home—his equally adorable sibling Snape is also looking for a family to call his own. Could Smokey be the perfect addition to your family? This handsome boy’s right legs were partially amputated when he was just a pup by someone who’s clearly on the bullet-train to hell. Technically, Charisma is special needs, but don’t tell him that! He’s active & gets around well – he can even jump into the car! He’s been dearly loved by his adoptive family for many years, but sadly, must now be rehomed. He’s healthy, crate-trained, & would do best with a small dog to keep him company. Although he prefers women to men, he has lived with a man & was devoted to him. C’mon – everyone could use a little Charisma! How about you?

London is so sweet and she attends doggy daycare three times a week and loves to play with her sister and other dogs.  She currently lives with cats but is not a big fan. London is active and loves to go for walks. London does great with the ladies, but she can be nervous around men. She is crate-trained as well as housebroken.  London loves cuddling, playing with toys, car and boat rides and swimming in the river.  All she needs now is a furever home.  ##972745##
